the same wife and all of the same children listed). Thanks.

My Cochran line spent time in Abbeville County, Ga before moving on to
Campbell County, Ga. I think that they were originally from Scotland and and
settled in Pa when they came to America. I found a George Cochran who was born
in Scotland in 1773 who had a son named George who was born in 1795. For years
before finding the 1773 George my Cochran line ended with the 1795 George as

A theory that I am trying to prove goes like this. The 1773 George who was
born in New Monkland, Scotland and married to Ann Mills came to America with
their son 1795 George and perhaps two other children, Elizabeth(b: 1797) and
James(b: 1803)
and settled in Pa. 1795 George married Mary G.(Gray??) and their first son
George Washington was born in Pa. 1795 George, Mary G. and George Washington
left Pa. for Abbeville County, Ga. They were in Abbeville for about 20 years
and then the families moved to Campbell County, Ga. If anyone has information
to support or disprove this theory, I would appreciate hearin frfom thedm.

Shelley,
Thanks, there may be a connection somewhere. Check out this
website:http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~lynneb/davisARPsketch.html
It is a history of an early Presbyterian church in the Abbeville SC
area. Note: a John Cochran was on the ship from Ireland and there are
several other Cochran's mentioned later. I can't connect them to my
family but I keep looking. I haven't been able to locate a ships
passenger list for the John yet.

I wonder if your Jane COCHRAN and mine might by cousins. I am searching
for the family of Jane COCHRAN b. 17 October 1774 at Abbeville, SC, m.
30 July 1799 to James CRAIG at Abbeville, SC, d. 1 November 1854 in
Johnson County, Missouri.
I believe Jane's parents were Hugh COCHRAN + Mary Agnees ???, I also
believe that Hugh & Mary Agnees had 6 children (2 female + 4 male) and
may have been living in Camden Dist., Clarendon County, SC in 1790.
Very interested in connecting with others who may know of or who are
connected to this family.
Thank you,
Shelley
Hi list, been awhile since I posted.
Anyone out here come from Patric Cochran, whom immigrated from Ireland
possibly into the Baltimore MD area? According to FTM disk, John Whitsett
Cochran, was a descendant of Patric Cochran.
Name:John Whitsett COCHRAN Sex:M
Birth: Feb 1798 Place:Davidson Co.,TN
Marr: Spouse:Rebecca "Becky" FLY
Death: 1868 Place:probably,Carroll Co.,TN
My great aunt, Madge (Cochran) Pryor, has been in contact with an individual
in Kentucky, who claims to have written documentation, from John and Becky's
son, Ammon Dixon Cochran, that they are descendants of Patric. This
documentation seems to be some kind of diary/travel log....I dont know if what
he has is the original, or copies of the original, but it is not complete
(damaged) from what I understand.
Anyhow, I am from John and Becky (FLY) Cochran's line....son James Maneese,
(1819 TN) his son, Francis Marion (have pic 1855 TN) his son James Nicholas
Cochran, ( 1892 TX) his son James E. Cochran SR, (1921 AR) his son, J. E.
Cochran Jr, and me, James Edward Cochran III.
Also have disk copy of John W. Cochran's will, from researcher Lucille Adams
Smith.
Looking forward to hearing from anyone with ties to this family.

Ar: 5th Zack b. 1879, Ala; Martha missing in 1880 Bartow Co. Ga. Census. At
