I am looking for information about John Cochran, who lived in North
Carolina or Ohio or Indiana in the early 1800's. John married a Sarah
Cowan. Sorry to be so vague, but I don't have hardly any information
about this man. However, any information I can recieve about him might
help me break down a brick wall on another line I am researching. Thanks,
Carol

Hi, Joan - I would be interested in learning a bit more about your Hiram
Cockrum, and it is possible that I can help you, though at this point I'm not
sure.
Where was he in 1850? Was he in Tuscaloosa County? Where does the 1850
(and/or subsequent) census show he was born?
Was he related to Hiram Peyton Cochran of Tuscaloosa County? It is Hiram
Peyton Cochran whom I have researched a little. He is not in my direct line,
but I think (no proof) that he is related to my Cochrans.
If this sounds interesting to you, let's talk.
