Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
It would help us to be able to help you if you would include at least the
following info when requesting help. Name of person seeking info on as well
as spouse &/or children, The Time frame we are looking at, i.e. date even
approximate of birth & death, and location. Be as specific as possible. If
you have town or county as well as State, that would be ideal. Even the
section of the country helps. Good luck with finding as my wife calls them
all your dead relatives.

Hi! I am new to the group.
I just found out that my great grandmother was Nancy Cochran. She
married Issac Jackson Clark (Est. 1860-61). Does anyone have a Nancy in
their line? I sure would appreciate any input.
Sincerely,

I am researching COCHRANs in NC and Indiana.
Benjamin COCHRAN (1740?-1831) settled in Burke Co., NC, ca. 1778. Sons
Samuel and John.
John COCHRAN (1792-1869) moved to Carroll Co., Ind. in 1836, taking wife Mary
McGILLIARD and six sons, Benjamin, John M., Samuel Martin, William G., James
A., Robert L. They all lived in Carroll Co. to at least 1890.
Questions:
any info on Benjamin COCHRAN in Burke Co. would be helpful. My information
is very sketchy.
did Samuel COCHRAN also migrate to Carroll Co., Ind. in 1836? There is a
person by this name in Carroll Co. (1840 census), but I do not have enough
info on him to know if it is the brother of John.
anyone else researching this family? any info on descendents? will be glad
to share the information I have.
thanks.

Looking for information about my great-grandmother Sarah Rebecca
Arabelle Cochran. She went by the name Belle. Belle was born and lived
in Yellville Arkansas. Her parents were George and Lou (short for
Louisa ?) Belle had a younger sister named Minnie who married a Cal
Williams and a younger brother named John who married a woman named
Fronnie?. Due to her fathers early death (or maybe he left his family)
Belle and her mother and siblings lived much of the time with her uncle
Pat Carson.
Belle married a man much older than she, Ben Trimble, with whom she had
a son - Walter Coker Trimble. Ben died a few years later and she
married a man named Horn.
I would appreciate any help. Thanks,
Kathy

Source of Information: Family records. Any information concerning parents,

Clark and her father as E. B. Hull -- But then why the name Cochran?
My great-grandmother was Maggie Cochran. She was born in the late 1800's -
possibly in Aroostook County, Maine or possibly in Canada (New Brunswick
area?).
She married Swanty Landeen in 1897 and they had quite a few children, one
daughter being Laura Landeen born in June 1899. I think Maggie's parents
were Will Cochran who was married to Isabel Skidgel.
Can anyone help me with this? I want to trace Maggie's line.

Hello:
I am new to this list and hoping to connect with someone who may be
able to help me with information on my maternal grandfather's family:
Robert Frederick Cochran, born near Lehighton, Pennsylvania, in
the 1890's (I believe). According to information given to me, his
father's name was Emanuel Cochran and his mother was Elsie Drumboro. He
had two sisters, Beulah and Flora. That is all the information I have
and am unable to verify any of it.
Thanks,

Hi,
I'm a new subscriber. I want to know if anyone is researching the
Revolutionary War soldier Barnabus "Barney" B. Cochran and his descendants.
Barney B. Cochran was listed as aged 104 on the McMinn CO, TN 1860 census,
family #87-248. He is buried in Cochran Cemetery in Englewood, McMinn CO,
TN. I suspect that my gr-gr-gr-grandmother, Edith "Edee" Caroline Cochran
Cline born 1825 and died 10 March 1891 McMinn CO, TN may be related to him.
Anyone have info on his descendants or recognize my ancestor? Ring any
bells with anyone?
