I'd like to correspond with descendants of Hezekiah Coburn, a descendant of
Edward Colburn/Coburn (1618-1712). Hezekiah was born in Windham, CT in
1750. He served in the Revolutionary War, although he is not listed in
official records. He was awarded a Revolutionary pension in 1834; within a
year he had died. He lived in Williamstown, VT from about 1790-1803. He
then moved to Lewis, Essex Co., NY, where he died about thirty years later.
His children were Jonathan (1772-1830), Joel (1774-1867), Roswell
(1776-1846), Mary (b. 1778, m. William Buckle), Eliphalet (1781-1835),
Esther (b. 1783), and Clyma (b. 1786, m. Jeremiah Bennett).
If you're descended from Hezekiah I'd like to hear from you and exchange
information.

Researching the George Coburn family.
George Melton Coburn. Born 1871 died 1947. Married # 1 Lydia Wilson, #2
Nancy C. Evans. He lived in St. Charles, MO. in 1895 when my great
grandmother Bertha Coburn was born.
Don't have any info about this family. My grandmother said she knew her
grandmother and grandfathers name and that all. The Coburn family never
talked about other family members. It was a hush hush thing.

Hello,
My name is Nancy Gamel-Livecy. I'm the new list maintainer.
Mail lists are a little slow when they first start. I would like to ask you
to send the oldest three generations that you have researched. Please also
state where the family lived. Sometimes that's how we will link with people.
If you don't have 3 generations, please give the group as much information
you can about your family. Please send all post to Coburn-L(a)rootsweb.com
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please don't ever
hesitate to write me at coburn_list(a)hotmail.com. I hope you make many
contacts.
Sincerely,
Nancy Gamel-Livecy
I'm compiling a brief biography of Charles H. COBURN, for a reference book
to be published in 2001, & I hope someone on the list has heard of him.
Charles (b. abt. 1839, in Lowell, Middlesex Co., MA) was the son of Charles
Butterfield CHAPMAN (b. abt 1813) & Elizabeth West CHAPMAN (b. abt. 1823).
Does he sound familiar to anyone? I'd be grateful for any information
anyone can give me & will happily share what information I've found.
