For those who don't know Rev Offman was a circuit preacher in North
Carolina and he tracked the births and deaths of the Coble's in the
churches he preached at. When he was in his seventies he passed the
research to John L Coble. I met John Coble and after he died his wife let
me copy what correspondence he had. I then took the update as he called it
and entered it into a genealogical program. I can send the gedcom of the
data to anyone who wants it. I also have a pdf of the descendant report
with an index as well. I only ask that John and Rev Offman are credited if
any of this is published. I have no current plans to publish it, I am
only concerned with making sure that their decades of work does
not disappear. There are not many dates, but it is a good starting point
for anyone researching the Coble line. It covers ten generations of the
descendants of Hans Georg "George" Kobel 1728-1792. There are 4287
individuals and 623 surnames. If anyone wants to send me corrections or
revisions to what they find I will keep the master file updated.
