I worked for Rodger (his middle name was David) Coble from 1976 until his passing away from sinus cancer. Early on he worked for General Motors in Arlington, Texas. He and his wife, Donna Lanelle (Workman), owned and ran City Cab of Arlington (which also serviced Grand Prairie) as well as a delivery business when I worked for them. He was survived by his wife and their two children Shelly (Coble) Simpson and Michael. Donna's parents (Oscar) O.B. and Angelee Workman founded City Cab. He was from the Arlington area and had some family hereabouts but I don't recall any more. Rodger was a great guy to work for, I loved him. Rick Chambers

This is my family with me included. However, I'm trying to go beyond this and find out about my grandfather and grandmother. I know that they were from Tn., somewhere near or in Giles County but that is all. My grandfather's fathers' name was Willie Lee Allen Coble. Wanting to know about his family. Want to know how my grandfather and grandmother met and married especially when it wasn't good at that time for interracial marriages?

Thank you for your reply. I'm trying to find out everything that I can on the Coble Family from Pulaski, Tn, Giles County I think. I never met my grandfather because he died at an early age. He was white and my grandmother was black. I know that the two of them left Tn., and moved to the Dallas, Tx area. His name was Willie Lee Allen Coble. my grandmothers' name was Hortense Hayes and from this union came my father, Willie Lee Coble and his sister Flournoy Coble. My dad died in December of 1989 @ the age of 70. Our aunt is still alive at the ripe age of 98. Some things she remembers some she doesn't. Can you help me out?

Hello Janine. This is Ralph. We had some contact years ago pertaining to the Coble Family. I have started a Family Tree from some info that I have obtained from family and from your info that you passed on to me.
