In an old book I have found, it states that Jemima McCann's mother was Mary Ann Banks and father was Elias Coble.
Nothing more is known about this except what it states.

There were no O'Guins in Hickman County in 1828.
Who were the parents of Mary Ann O'Guin?

Thanks again for you help! With what you gave me I was able to fill in quite a few gaps. I found out that my great grandfather was indeed Cleo Paul Coble. His parents were Cora Bell Coble and a man by the name of Alonzo "L.D." Coble. Alonzo was possibly born in 1861 in Harding, Bourbon Co., Kansas (according to www.familysearch.org ). I have also seen in the info in the previous reply that it says he may have been born in Germany. I can't find any more on Alonzo though. If anyone can find any info on Alonzo Coble or possibly Koebel, or Kobel, I would ge so greatful. I was able to trace back Cora Bell (Armstrong)Coble quite a ways. Thanks again for any help!

I think it could be Cleo Paul Coble ... here's how I came to this possibility:

There are obvious inconsistencies, but nothing that would definitely rule out him out.
I haven't been able to find Clayton in the 1930 census and he doesn't seem to be living with his mother and sister. Letha is listed in the 1930 Census as "D" which should be divorced.
Hope this helps, hope it's not too much (and I hope it all lines up properly when it's posted).
Good luck!
Stephanie

My grandfather's name is Clayton Vance Coble, he was born in 1920 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. I do not know who his father is. His mother was named Letha Brown. She gave birth to my grandfather then later was remarried to a man named John Burl Fowler. I am hoping to find out who my real GG grandfather is. Any help?
