I'll join you on that list, although I'm very new to hunting family. I don't know how much help I can be to anyone else, but I'm willing to try. There are an absolute swarm of Coble's out there, how can anyone get them untangled alone?
Now how did you say it? Sounds like a good idea to me. There are many Garretts as well as Cobles in
SW Guilford County, N.C. I am searching for Coble family information.
They often intermarried with Bennett's in SW Guilford. Does anyone have any
idea where the Bennetts lived before N.C. and why they settled in the middle
of a German immigrant settlement. ptn

Since we are everywhere, I think it would be kind of neat if we could help each other out on other surnames as well as the ones we all hope to track down. They had to come from somewhere and I expect that many of us on this list are all over the US. Could we come up with a list of where we are all located, to further help each other out with other surnames? Then we could take our requests off list and volunteer what time we feel we have to others.
Example:
I'm currently living in (Union County) Blairsville, Georgia
Main branch of tree is WALDEN with other twigs being YOUNG, SMALLEY, WYRICK, CORNELISON
Main branch of tree is ELGIN with other twigs being COBLE, STEPP. SEDGEWICK, UNDERHILL
Eliza Ann Coble, d/o James Laxton Coble and Elizabeth Ann DANIEL of Benton
Co., TN. James is s/o Henry COBLE and Winnie LAXTON of Perry Co., TN

after this Frederick Brown, who married Sally Coble, was in Mississippi.
Does anyone has anything definitive on the Sally Coble who was a child of
