Graveside services for Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Coble Fry, 96, who died Wednesday, Feb 16, 2005 at Valley View Nursing Home, Boise, will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005 at Dry Creek Cemetery. Chaplain Peter Furno will officiate. A viewing will occur on Wednesday, Feb. 23 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise. Irene was born March 8, 1908 in Meridian. She Married Wesley Thomas Fry on April 26, 1927 in Nampa. They had two sons. Wes worked in construction with MK and later with Vernon Bros. Construction Co., where he was superintendent. They traveled much the first five years of their marriage. Then she stayed home and raised their two sons. The family joined Wesley in the summer, if there was a place they could live at the construction location. After the boys were married, Wes and Irene bought a fifth-wheel trailer and pickup, joined the Good Sams and had many good times traveling with them. Irene also liked to fish and hunt (!
if someone else was carrying the gun). She had lots of hobbies. Knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing, oil painting of pictures, (or rather oil tinting of pictures), and most any kind of hand-crafts were among them. Irene was a member of the PTA and homeroom mother, assistant leader of the Girl Scouts, (Brownies), bond and stamp salesperson for Longfellow School during World War II, member of Good Sams-Treasure Valley chapter, and a very active member of Valley View Grange, where she served as chaplain. The largest task she did was compiling the history of their four families, the Cobles and Matchams, Frys and Walls. It took a lot of time and effort to gather the information and she never felt finished with this effort. Irene worked on the history for over 30 years, but at 81 years of age, she decided to quit and turn the task over to the next generation. Irene was preceded in death by her husband Wesley Thomas and her son Vernon. Survivors include one son, Gordon Dennis!
Fry, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Irene will be grea
tly missed by her loving family.

"Easy Google Genealogy Searcher"
"Searching the Internet for a particular subject is often a 'shot in the
dark.' But there are some things a person can do to improve his/her chance
of
success. One of those is a new search engine, powered by Google & designed
just for the genealogist.
The engine is located at:
There are several search options including a specific search for photos,
another for newspapers, & a list of directories. For each search, there are
'help' options & tips to make the most of the search.
In the case of newspapers, researchers can look for a specific area,
narrowing down to a town or widening to include an entire country. Another
search
leads to directions for 'antiquated' words (which can include medical
terms),
Latin terms, acronyms, & terminology used in deeds & other documents. And
when you find that a great-grandfather owned land, but the deed gives the
land size in rods, the search engine page includes a calculator that will
transfer that into modern dimensions.
Another option of the search engine is handy for locating a place. Unlike
most map programs, this engine will search by keyword & location, even if
you
don't have the proper name. For instance, a search for 'cemetery' & 'Logan,
Utah,' brings up half a dozen primary sites & several related sites.
If a trail of an ancestor has led to a foreign land, the engine offers
options to search for surnames in specific countries & to search for sites
in a
specific language. There are several programs available to translate
languages
& this search engine includes that option. In this case, a word or series
of words can be pasted into the translation box & Google will translate.
Or,
type in the address & Google will translate an entire web page.
The search engine's home page includes tips, suggestions & links, all with
the genealogist in mind"

Jannine –I have not heardfrom you about Williams Birth Cerf, regarding 2/12/1810 U.K. What details do you have on this John & Mary (nee Archer) Coble? What is the source of this data. Any data to assist in confirming the birth of William Coble (1810) and ancestry & siblings, and help in my further research. Haven’t found anything in Parish Transcripts, etc. for North Walsham and the surrounding area in Norfolk to-date.
Do you have a database containing all events related to the Coble name, specifically between 1780 & 1820 in England.? You say you have data going back to Germany, what year is that?
