of Savannah.

Joseph had died about 1875. Did find 2 who could be their children living
with other families. I know McClellen WESTOVER was alive but can't find
him. Can't find Wills or Jane and the Thersey died about 1875.

> I have a James B Stamper b: 1828, d: 1864. He married Nancy Coble
3/25/1852. I think his father's name was Powell Stamper and I am trying to
track that down and see if this family connects with the earlier Powell
Stamper of early 1700's who is well documented in various online sites.
James and Nancy's daughter, Mary E Stamper, married Benjamin Franklin
Gilleland in the Catawba area of NC. Can anyone help me find the missing
generation(s) to this puzzle. Thanks. Shirley
There is an Adam Coble (NC1797-1885TN) m. Mary "Polly" Chessor (1806-1883).
Established Coble's Pottery in Hickman Co. TN about 1820. (Pottery is
featured on State Historical Marker at Coble, TN). His will was made in 1879.
Coble, TN is 75 west of Nashville.
Unfortunately, names and dates and places don't seem to match up with your
line.
Thank you very much for the response. Yes, these folks are John Adam
"Clubber" Coble and Mary "Polly Chessor from around the Hickman County area.
Coincidentally, I have a Adam Coble married to a Mary "Polly" Harris (?)
that lived down in Mississippi but he was from Virginia (I think).
I have come to believe there are at least a "bunch" of Adam Coble's.
Apparently a popular name. <g>
Have a great evening and I appreciate your email.
