Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Do we have any Coble researchers who are researching the Coble folks who
migrated from Alabama to Mississippi and on to Arkansas? Looking expecially
for the Coble line that included Adam Coble (Cable/Cobble of Mississippi)
and his wife Mary Polly Harris (?) who died in Sevier County, Arkansas after
1860.
Thanks,
David

> Now you've caught my attention gentlemen. My great grandmother Julia Lindy
Morgan was married to a William Franklin Coble from Stanly Co. Her father
was" Mike" Jiles Morgan of Rowan Co. Julia was supposedly born in Stanly Co
in the late 1880's. William was born aprox 1875 in Stanly Co. William died
around 1932-1934 and was buried at Corinth Church , we believe in Woodleaf
area near Salisbury,Rowan Co. Julia had two brothers from what I have been
told, one named Nathan Morgan the other was Burlie(sp?)Morgan. I have
located a Michael J Morgan in the 1880 census in Rowan Co with his wife
Eliza Ann (family called her Liza Ann Wiles Morgan) and an infant daughter
Joann. For informational purposes, William Franklin Coble was the son of
David Coble ( III ) and his wife Priscilla E. who were in Anson Co,NC in the
1880 census. I believe William and Julia married in Feb 1911 after his first
wife Isabell Mauldin passed away leaving him with several children. Julia
passed away in Danvil!

"Bill" Jiles. I believe I heard from the family that Uncle Bill and his son
Billy both passed away very close to each other in the Fall of 2001, I think
the son was visiting and caring for the father and died and then the father
died right afterwards. Julia's youngest child, Elmittie Coble Eanes, is my
grandmother who lives in Danville. Her other daughters were Mrs Alice Marie
Coble (can't remember her married name right now), Mrs Daisy Louise
(Bootsie) Harris ( passed away 2002), Mrs Eunice Coble Eanes (deceased), Mrs
Artice (Aunt Bob) Coble Harris, Mrs Grace Elizabeth Coble Knick, and Mrs
Lorrine Coble Meeks Reynolds, and Miss Lily May Coble who passed away very
young near Erlanger in 1920-'s to 1930's and is buried at Corinth Church
also. I know that Julia's brothers tried to keep the family together through
large family reunions in the past. I believe there were several sisters also
involved. I know th!

of the children lived in Lexington, HighPoint, Danville, and the Tidewater
areas. Julia did remarry after William passed away to a Wiley Herman Myers
but he too had passed away before I came along. As I remember "Granny Myers"
she was living on South Hunter St in Danville with Aunt Bootise and her
husband Charlie Harris. Can you find any connections with your
researching???
