I believe the Agnes Coble you are looking for is, the daughter of Elias Coble, who was son of Peter Coble.
Peter Coble was brother to my ancestor, Adam Coble.
Elias Coble also had a sister named Agnes Coble who married my GGG grandfather Tyler O'Guin.
J. Mayberry in Hi. Co. Tn.
I have a Jacob Coble b 1835 d 1915 in Springfield, Clark, Ohio married Mary
Ann Elizabeth Shettle in 1858 Clark County, Ohio.

I would like to re-visit this statement by Harvey about William F. COBLE.
Who is William F. COBLE who married Belle MAUDLIN? Is this also in Stanly
Co., NC? I don't show a son William F. for David (1814-1890) and any of his
wives. Can someone shed light on who he might be?

however since the first child was born in 1870, that was quite a bit after 1858 to have been having a first child and I would 'guess' it is a different family.

In checking through the 1880 Census, I found Alfred COBLE. I bet (though not verified) that this is the son of John Coble/Maria KIME. The only thing I'm not sure about is that he said he was born in NC rather than KY (where I believe the family was during those years). I had no other information except his birthyear of 1804).

Thanks for the info. How do you know this set of Coble's? Are you related to them in any way? Did you know that Charlie Coble had a son, C.M. Coble? I am married to his son, James Ronald (Ronnie) Coble. Do you know C.M.'s wife, Eunice and his daughter Dot? They live in Meigs. I am curious to know how you know them and if you are related to them? Let me know as soon as possible. I have been trying to get info on them for a very long time but always hit a stumbling block. There are so many more Coble's than we ever realized. Let me know what info you have. Ron and I have two children and 5 grandsons. Sorry that it has taken me so long to answer you. We heard about the reunion and we sure would like to have been there. We plan to go next year. I'll be waiting to hear from you. Thanks again!!
Milly Jane "Emily" Coble b 1847 in Guilford County, NC.
She married Daniel M. Clapp in 1860 Guilford County, NC.
In the 1880 census she is living without her husband, just she and her children and an Aunt Leah Coble 50.
Leah Coble is the D/O George Peter Coble and Barbara Brown.
Does anyone know how Milly Jane fits into the picture.
Thanks
