Researching Maria Barbara Kobel (no data), wife of Jacob Schaeffer.
They had daughter named Anna Maria Schaeffer m. 23 Jan 1770 to Jacob Whetstone, Sr.
The Civil War Soldiers System sponsored by the United States Park System is
now searchable on line. Entries are still being added to the database.
Although Ohio's portion is complete, other states have not had all their data
uploaded yet. The CWSS, as it is now, contains an index of soldiers and
sailors, unit histories,
cemeteries, and Medal of Honor winners. The National Park Service is
continually adding information to all of the databases.
