Hello and thank you for responding!
No, I didn't even know there was a Cobia book!
I have been trying to so hard to find Margaret's parents. Even harder is
finding the parents of her daughter's husband, John T. Gentry!
I'll be patient! Thank you once again.

Karen,
Am pretty sure that I can help you. I believe that that is among my
notes and correspondence on Edward M.H. I am descended through Frances
Joseph and Margaret Geffkin (2nd) wife. Please give me a day to go through
my old correspondence with the descendants that were in Houston Co., GA. Do
you have the Cobia Genealogy written Mrs. Selleneit? I do. I contributed
the line of Francis Joseph which is in this book.

Hello:
I am trying to confirm Margaret Cobia (b. Dec 1862) as a daughter of Edward
Michael Holmes Cobia (1826-1891) of Charleston SC.
I have not been successful in locating him on the 1870 census.
Margaret first married John Gentry that died sometime between 1881-1882
according to the Charleston City Directories and then she married John
O'Herrin.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!
Karen
