I have a file for you and I prefer to e-mail it to you direct. I used the address at jackandscott(a)cs.com but it was turned back. Is there another address or is there an error in this one. Just e-mail me at fayecobbs(a)bellsouth.net and I will try to attach it as a reply to you. Glad to share.

I joined DAR through our Patriot, Robert Cobbs, and his daugher Elizabeth Ann (Cobbs) Mottley. I grew up in Lynchburg and remained there until I graduated from college. I now live out of the state, and I regret that I have not visited "Plain Dealing", but a first cousin from Oregon did so about ten years ago. He told me that the two graves of Robert and Ann G. Cobbs lie unmarked (what a shame!), and that they are the only ones buried at "Plain Dealing". I believe that Breckenridge Cox may have decided to use another of his given names, because I also could not find him. However, I found 57-yr-old Powhatan Cox, and his 16-yr-old son by the same name, living in Brookville, Campbell Co., VA on the 1920 Census.
