My Great-great grandfather is Charles Lewis Cobbs b 1800 va. His son was Samuel Scott Cobbs how moved to Valparasio Indiana with family. Does anyone have any hard factual info on where Charles Lewis Cobbs & his wife Ann are buried? We are assuming he was with Ann Marie Scott when she died in 1855 around Indianapolis IN, but it goes cold for both of them after that. We just found where John Poindexter is buried if anyone interested.
Thanks,
Laurie Cobbs Miller

Does anyone have John Cobbs b. 1769 in their ancestry line?
He was born in NC to Asa Cobb b. 1746 in Orange, NC., who was in Pendleton SC in 1790. He died in 1828 in Fentress Co. TN. He was 72 years old when he died.
Asa Cobbs married Fannie Coker b. 1750 in Tuscumbia, AL, d. 1858 in Overton, TN, two of their children were John b. 1769 and Jessie b. 1791-1864.
I am searching for who John Cobb married. Some think he married Elizabeth Goddard b. Abt. 1790 but I so far have found no information on her either.
I know that one child was born to them and that was Frances W. Cobb b. 1818, married Thomas George Ratterree in 1833 in Columbus, MS, died in 1882 in Greenwood, AR. She was my gg grandmother.
Appreciate any information that you have on this family.
Julie
