Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I am directly descended from the emigrant Ambrose Cobb/s and his wife Ann White. My ancestors were in VA and later in TN. I have not found a connection to those Cobbs who went to GA. However, my line and the GA line share given names and I have always wondered if the two are actually both from Ambrose. Perhaps a split in where they went from VA to either TN or GA.I am interested in 4 men who descend from Ambrose, all of whom were named Thomas -- the Thomas who married Mary Shields, the Thomas who married (unknown) , the Thomas who married Susannah Moon?, and Thomas who married Nancy (unknown). According to records I have found all four of these men were born in VA. These 4 men lived/died between abt. 1689 and 1816.Can anyone shed light on any of these men? Thanks.Virginia Greenevcgreene(a)att.net
Found my name as a descendant of Henry the Elder of MA. I don't have a clue how to understand this or locate other relatives through this testing. Can you direct me to some understanding?
Thank you,
Sandy Faller
