Daniel, son of Samuel Cobb and Judah Peake
Abstract of Deeds Book C 1827-1830

Daniel Cobb and Elizabeth, his wife, to Elijah Martin, 100 acres on Eagle Creek in Owen Co. .....etc.
Signed by Daniel and Elizabeth. This would verify Daniel and Elizabeth his wife being in Owen County, April 1829.
Question? Was Elizabeth a Martin? Asa Cobb, his brother, wife's mother was Susan Lyons Martin. Susan and her husband William John O'Banion are buried in the McGibney Cemetery.

I could not find a Samuel Cobb in my tree, but I did find James, Jacob, Elizabeth and Nancy as children of Absalom Cobb.
Absalom father was Joseph Cobb 1737-1787 married to Rachel Ellis 1797-????. My records indicate Absalom was born in Ga and died in Ga.

Thanks for sending this information. I truly believe there is a connection between your Cobb family and mine. Samuel Cobb, (11 Jun 1801-9 Jun 1859)had children named James, Jacob, Elizabeth, Nancy. I wonder if it is possible that Your Absalom and my Samuel could have been brothers. Who was Absalom's father? Did he live in NC?
