The reason for this research is to try and have the school placed on the Register Of Historical Places.
The school was built in 1938 and was also known as Upper Dogwood School. If you have any photographs of the school (taken inside or outside) or documents from the school please contact me. Would like to have copies.
These persons were known to be students: Billy Cobb, Norma Alice Cobb, Leroy Cobb, Billy Richard Cobb
Thanks
Johnny Bradley

I would like to have the information about Luther Lee and the children he and Caroline Phoebe had. I am a descemdant of her oldest brother Aaron. Do you have any more information about Elizabeth Brundage? I have seen the information that her father's name was James and that she was born in New Jersey. I know that John and Elizabeth were married in Orange County, NY where Aaron was born.

Hi, thanks for the information. I didn't realize there were two Cobb families. My line is probably from the Edgecombe County one.
There seem to be a LOT of Edward Cobbs...I can hardly keep them straight. Do you have any information on who Edward Cobb Jr. married? I had down Winifred Gray but I'm not so sure now...maybe that was the other Edward Cobb?
Thanks,
Melody

There were two large groups of Cobbs in the Edgecombe/Pitt Co. areas of the Tar River in North Carolina and all related. Original immigrant of Dawson's line, I think, was Nicholas Cobb. Dawson was a son of Edward Jr. 1755, who was son of Edward III 1714. I have listed children of Edward Jr. being: Jonas, Edwin, Amos, Gray, James, Frederick W., Rebecca, daughter Redding and Dawson 1780. I tracked and studied this line trying to link a male ancestor to a Cobb.

OK, I am going to ask again.
Mary Susan Bridges was born 1843 ca. in Alabama, enroute to Arkansas with
her parents, Benjamin F. Bridges, Jr., and Mary Cival Henagan Bridges.
Before 1868, while living with her widowed mother in Pulaski County, she
married John G.D. Cobb.
She is mentioned in her mother's estate papers as living in Arkansas in
1868, the year of Mary's death.
I have found no other records on Mary Susan since the 1860 census.
Hope someone can help.

I found old Cobb photos at the following sites:
http://www.deadfred.com/ has numerous Cobb photos from around the country (many from Maine).
http://www.familyoldphotos.com/index-az/a-z/c/pa-cocz.htm has one Cobb photos from Maine.
http://www.cotystreasures.com/ has two Cobb photos (one from Rhode Island) the other unknown location.
I'm looking for my own ancestral photos so in the process as I find other family photos I am posting what I find for other folks, too. Good luck!

I saw info on a David Edward Outlaw on a post of yours from 2002, so I am taking a chance I can still get a message to you. This was in relation to a Mourning Cobb, I believe. However, what I am trying to find are the parents of Sarah Elizabeth Outlaw born about 1826 in Tennessee. I never even knew there was an 'Outlaw' surname, I'm still LOL! She married Andrew Jackson Nelson (my family) in Alabama and settled in Walker county, Alabama. Thanks, Lynda Reply here or send me an email directly at lynda1953(a)roadrunner.com

Hello,
I'm looking for some information on a Dawson Cobb from Edgecombe Co, NC, born 1780. I found a family tree online somewhere and it had Edward Cobb listed as his father, but I can't find any sources to verify so I'm not sure where this informaton came from. Is this correct?
I did find a will for an Edward Cobb (died 1817) but there's no mention of a son named Dawson.
Please let me know if you can help. Thanks so much! :)
