I have been researching the Cobb lines from Webster (formerly Hopkins) County, KY. Ebeneezer Cobb married Catherine Carey 13 Feb 1827 in Hopkins County. Their eldest child was James Grisson Cobb. He married Susan Ashby 11 Nov 1850. In 1860, James and Susan are in Webster County, KY with their eldest children. In 1870, James is using his middle name, Grisson, and is in Harrisburg, Saline County, IL. In 1880, James does not appear in the Census records. Susan is in the household of their third child, John W. Cobb in Canadian, Mississippi County, AR, along with several of her other children. James and Susan's children are as follows:
William F. born abt 1852 in KY
James C. born about 1853 in KY
John W. born about 1857 in KY
Gustavus born about 1859 in KY
Lafayette born about 1860 in KY
Doctor or maybe Thomas born about 1862 in KY
George born about 1862 in KY
Nancy C or maybe Catherine born about 1866 in KY
Joseph born about 1867 in KY
David born about 1868 in KY or IL
Julia born about 1870 in IL
By 1900, only John W. and Gustavus remain in Canadian, Mississippi County, AR. Where did the rest of the family go? Any information on this line is welcomed.

I'm looking for information on Dolores Cobb born about 1906 or around that time. She is the daughter of Clarence Everett and Irene Cobb (maiden name Backenheimer, but was previously married to a Milburn). Clarence and Irene divorced sometime between 1908 and 1918. They had 2 children that I'm aware of: Dolores and George. George was born in 1908 (in NYC - Brooklyn) and went to live with his paternal grandparents (George and Frances Cobb in or near Lewis County upstate NY). Dolores was "adopted-out", but no one seems to know to whom or what became of her. Any information on her would be greatly appreciated.

Henry M. Cobb was living in Montgomery and Lincoln Co.s in Missouri. He
was a land owner in these two adjoining Counties. He married Rachel
Brown Downing. I find the children and Rachel in the Downing home after
his death in 1849. I am searching for his parents. Any clues would
help. Patti

I am trying to locate these individuals or their descendents. They are my husbands cousins through his guncle Jacob Horn and wife, Corda Chester. Corda later married a Hughes, and a Sturm. She was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Grady County, OK as Corda Sturm.
Their mother's name was Lucille Stevens or perhaps she went by her step father's name - Nichols. Her last known residence was Minneapolis, Minnisota, but she also lived in Kansas City, Missouri and Oklahoma.
They have a number of cousins that would like to make their acquaintance and/or exchange informationl

Am trying to trace a young lady born in Oklahoma and who was living with her grandmother in Union City Oklahoma in 1920. She was listed on the census as Lucille Stevens and she was either about 3 at the time of the census, but I understand it may have been Nichols or her mother Cora married a Nichols.. We have been told Lucille married a Cobb and had four children, Linda Rae, Lana Lucille, Larry and Leslie Cobb.
She is a descendent of my husbands gguncle, Jacob Horn who was divorced and his wife remarried and the family lost track of his kids.

I guess I got lost somewhere; story of my genealogy life. Has anyone
found out who the father of Alexander Cobb, b 1772 in Edgefield County,
South Carolina, is? I descend from his daughter Mary R. (Polly) and John
DeShazo. Cobb's Mother was Rebecca Gentry.
Help and thanks!
Jack Milam
As there were many 'Benjamin Cobb' s....I can tell from other names you
give that
THIS Benjamin came from AMBROSE COBB's line .....right?
I descend from CLISBY COBB (the first one)....there were several
Benjamins in this line, also. Guess it was a popular COBB name.
P.Hill
Dear Susie,
Did anyone ever really prove The mother of Benjamin Cobb? She was either
Susannah Braswell or Susannah Jackman. There were personal land dealings
with both families. Ben's father was Joseph, his father
was Pharoah and his was Joseph the 1st. I suppose people are still trying
to put his father Richard into an English family instead of Scotland and
Holland. I've never seen any of the other 15 children of him proven either
have you?
I'm trying to put a family tree together and keep adding things to it (on
Myfamily).
Until later,
