Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
This is great!
Thanks for all your work.

Thanks, Amy,
Sorry to be so long replying. I was out of town for a bit. I wonder
where that Clemmons name came from?

Two men named Jesse Cobb married in Caswell Co, NC.
(1) Married Mary Boswell on 05 December 1817.
(2) Married Elizabeth Cobb on 26 December 1838.
I believe #2 was still in Caswell in 1840. What became of him after that? Was Cobb actually Elizabeth's maiden name?
Can anyone tell me anything about these two couples?

Looking for information on Peter Cobb, born in NC abt. 1820, married Nancy
Parks in Lumpkin Co. in 1842. Family found in Cherokee Co. in 1850, Cobb Co. in
1860, and Gwinnett Co. in 1870.
Is Peter from the Enoch Cobb family? Who is Henry Cobb, who - I think
married Elizabeth Shetley? Who was Robert Cobb who lived with the Shetley family
next door in Cobb Co.?
My g.grandfather D. Cobb joined the Roswell Battalion in Cobb Co. with Wm.
Roberts and Wm. Castel/Cassel who witnessed his pension application and said
they had known him since about 1857. They are both found within two pages on the
1860 Cobb Co. census, and only a few more pages from the Smith family he
married into. The connection has to be there . . .
Thanks for any help.

How many of you have a Shadrack Cobb in your files? He might be listed as Shadrick, Shad, Shade, or also Sheldrake.
Never mind the when and where just yet. The name itself is so unusual there just can't be much to choose from.
If you have a man with a name like Shadrack Cobb, I'd like to hear what you have on him.
