Looking for any information on Wilson Cobb. He was born about 1784 in South Carolina and died 1842 in Fayette County, AL. He married Grace Greenwood Seaborn who was born about 1784 in South Carolina and died between 1866 and 1870 in AL. I am looking for his children because I think I am related through a son, George. Info on them are very sketchy, so anything is greatly appreciated.

Hi Cherre,
My great-grandfather, George Bundy Cobb, was born in Woodhull, Steuben County in 1875. He also ended up in Pennsylvania, first in Potter County, then Venango County.
I have a tenuous link to a Susanna Cobb (George's 4th cousin twice removed), daughter of Alanson Cobb and Electa Bang Cobb. Alanson is supposedly from New Hampshire and Electa from Massachusetts. However, both were born in the 1790s so it's unlikely they had children until the 1820s. Of the children listed, no "James" - only "Susannah".
If you have any other information about Steuben county Cobbs I'd be interested in hearing it. My great-grandfather's parents were Daniel Horace Cobb and Helen Bundy Cobb (she of Allegany county NY). See more at: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/d/o/y/Jason-D-Doyle/index.html
Thanks!
Jason

I am researching the family of Richard Ebenezer Jones. From our research, we believe that Richard E. married Elizabeth Jones on 11 Dec 1851 in Muscogee County, GA. On that same date, Richard's brother, John Blackston Jones married Creesa Ann Cobb. Any information on Creesa and John Blackston would be appreciated. My great-grandfather, John Blackston Jones, was named for his uncle, and from the 1860 census records of Chatahoochee County, GA, Richard and Elizabeth are living next to John & "Lucrecy" Jones and their children.
Any information would be appreciated.

In a message dated 6/2/2004, ggreynolds(a)centurytel.net writes:
Does any one have any information regarding an OLIVE BALL who married SIMEON
COBB ( b. 18 Dec. 1778) in about 20 April 1801 or '02, at Dublin, New
Hampshire. Was she, Olive b. when and where??
Was her father Daniel Ball b. 9 January 1742 in Holden, Worchester, MA; and
her mother Lydia Smith b. in 1754, probably also in Mass. Was Daniel Ball
descended from Phineas Ball, and Jonathan Ball, and John Ball Jr. and John Ball
Sr., etc.?
Dates and places of birth, marriages and deaths would be deeply appreciated.
Also was the marriage of Olive to Simeon in VT or Cheshire County, New
Hampshire. Was their oldest son one Stillman Cobb (and was he born January in the
winter of 1802-03?, and where?
One record suggests he was born in Westmoreland or Marlborough, Cheshire
County, New Hampshire on or about 24 July 1802), and their second son Henry Cobb
b.20 November 1804, in Chester, VT ( my Great great Grandfather)????. If
Stillman Cobb was born in early 1802, are the dates for Olive and Simeon's marriage
in April 20 of 1802 really valid?
Any one having more insight into this situation or other material please
share any or all material you may have about this family including other siblings
or ancestors with me.
Thank you.
