I have a S.P. Cobb from N.C. who lived in Haywood County in the 1860 and
1870 Census. He then moved on to White County, AR. Hid daughter Mattie L born in
1860 in TN married R. Henry McCulloch. There was also a T.T. Cobb that was in
TN in the same time frame who also moved to White County, AR. None of this
probably helps, but if it does great!
Have a good day,
MaryAnne

Christina ROTHROCK was born between 1815 and 1818, the sixth of seven children of Henry ROTHROCK (1774-1830) and Christina RUTH (1775-1846). Henry and Christina are buried at the Hillsdale (Rothrock) Cemetery, near Royalton on Locust Grove Road, Londonderry Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. A Henry ROTHROCK (of Derry Township) married Christine WEBER (of Donegal Township) on 18 Mar 1800. Is this the right family?
Christina ROTHROCK KOB died about 1835. She married Philip KOB (b. c1800 in Pennsylvania). After Christina died Philip married a 2nd time to a Barbara and lived in Indiana. It is not known if Christina died in Pennsylvania or Indiana. In 1847 their three children, John, Elizabeth and Lewis were known to be living at Henry County, Indiana. Some records show Philip KOB was deceased by 1847 with John KOB of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania listed as guardian. However in 1850 a Philip KOB (age 50), wife Barbara (age 48, born PA) and three children (John, age 21, Elizabeth age 18 and Lewis, age 16; all born Pennsylvania) listed at Dudley Township, Page 218, Henry County, Indiana.
A Lewis May KOB was born 25 Dec 1834 at Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Was this the son Lewis? This Lewis married Anna WIMMER on 29 Mar 1857 at Henry County, Indiana. A John R. KOB (listed as c1833-???) from Henry County, Indiana married Cornelia SHAWHAN. Was this the son John? In 1860 a Job? KOB (age 32), wife Catharine (age 25, born OH) and daughters Eliza (age 6), Elizabeth (age 4) and Emma (age 7 months) were living at Liberty Township, Page 110, Henry County, Indiana. Was this the son John?
Buried at the Franklin Cemetery at Center Township, Decatur County, Iowa are:
Philip KOB (died 06 Jan 1858, age 57 years, 11 months)
Lewis M. KOB (25 Dec 1834 - 26 Jun 1911)
Anna KOB (11 Dec 1837 - 08 Oct 1916)
Barbara KOB (died 04 Sep 1881, 79 years, 8 months)
along with some descendants of Lewis. Was this Barbara the second wife of Philip? A Philip KOB was christened on 08 Jun 1800 at the First Reformed Church, at Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, son of Lewis KOB and A. Maria KOB. He was born 06 Feb 1800 at Lancaster. In 1860 Lewis KOB and the widow Barbara KOB were living at Center Township, Decatur County, Iowa.
Let me know what you think of this. Is this your family? I am working on a massive ROTHROCK family tree. Dan Stevenson
