I wonder if your Edward stems from the Lewis County, NY Cobb's. I don't believe that Ticonderoga is that far away. I am a Cobb descendant from Lewis County, NY. I don't have my genealogy program up right now to check for an Edward, but may have some information that could link to you (at least someday).
Hi. Just wanted to get in touch with you since I am a Cobb descendant from Lewis County, NY. I don't have my genealogy program up and running at the moment, but can look in my info to see what I have. Want to share info?

Hi. I'm a Cobb descendant from Lewis County, NY. I don't live there now, but did want to get in touch with you. I don't believe I have a Marietta Cobb listed in my tree, but chances are we may be related since most Cobb's from there descend from Nathan Cobb who moved from Massachusetts to Lewis County, NY. I don't have my program up and running at the moment, but at least wanted to post a message to you. Want to share info?

i am looking for information on a lewis cobb married to a lona (many spellings for her name milona, miltonia)ledsome married in 1896 any info on his children would graetly be appreciated
If I am correct, we are kin ..TennesseeSilver(a)aol.com...
Thomas Charles Cobb is my 4-Great Grandfather Archibald Cobb's son ( I am descended from another son, Eleazer). My info has his middle name as " Church"...He migrated from Knox County, TN..to Texas where he married an Anna Wheeler, from a 'will-to-do- family. Thus I suppose Thomas Wheeler Cobb was named with his mother's maided name for his middle name. The dates that I have are about the same as yours.
I am descended from MORGAN COBB also. I descended from your Augustine Cobb's brother William. There were so many "Morgan" Cobbs, that it gets confusing...Your Benjamine Cobb came through Augustine's son, Morgan...who married 3 times: Susannah Wills-no children....then
Abigail Wills ( Susannah's sister)...their children:
William Cobb,Abigail Cobb and Thomas Cobb...then
Ester Hodges...their children:
BENJAMIN COBB,Isaac Cobb,George Cobb and Silas Cobb.
Your Morgan had siblings; Samuel Bethia, Mercy and Abigail. For more information log-on to Ancestry World Tree Viewer...Augustine"Austen" Cobb (Bethia Harvey)...click onto the pedigree of his son ...MORGAN.
You can E-mail me at TennesseeSilver(a)aol.com
I have much information about my CATES line, but I have hardly anything on my COBB line. I have Deborah COBB born abt 1748 in Falmouth, Cumberland, Maine married to Joseph CATES (b: 1722 in Portsmouth, Rockingham, Maine) on April 8, 1745 in Falmouth.
Can anyone fill me in on this COBB line?
Into family,

I'm looking for any information regarding my mother's mother's parents. My mother remembers hearing that her grandmother's (Vicey Cobb) mother ran a boarding house in a part of Baxley called Cobbtown. Vicey and William P.Johnson probably married around 1885 or earlier as there were several children extant when my mother's mother - Eula Mae Johnson - was born in 1901. Eula married Roy Varnadore in the early 1920's. William P. Johnson died in 1930. Any help in tracking down these folks would be much appreciated. I'm doing OK with the Varnadores, getting nowhere with the Johnsons and Cobbs

I am looking for information on the family of my g-g-grandfather, Joseph Cobb. He was supposedly born in Knox Co., Ky and was raised by his grandfather. He married Julia Ann Nickells, and is buried in Menifee Co., KY. We think that his mother was Susannah or Savanna, and that she married a Cottongim (Cottongen?). I would like to know more about Joseph before he came to Menifee Co.

1. John Cobbs-age 80 -in his John Cobbs HH--- Southern District- Campbell VA
2. Joseph Cobbs-age 50 -in Samuel Cobbs HH --Craig -Boone KY
These are not mine but I have an actual copy of John Cobbs' pension
application.
He was b Oct. 8, 1759 in Buckingham Co Va. He enlisted in Bedford Co (later
was Campbell) in 1779 or 1780. He lived in Campbell after the war. He got
his pension from 1834 forward. No parents or death date given, but he seems
to have still been on the roll in 1843. That is the last date given.
**I searched Cobbs, not Cobb yet.
Mike Cobb, you may want to keep this information for your site?
Everybody:
For your other lines-here is the site for pensions. I am sure they may have
overlooked some along the way but this is a very good effort.
