I have a brick wall in Henry M. Cobb-- don't have his parents but supposedly was born in South Carolina, May 9 1815, no idea where. He moved according to the family legend with his widowed, remarried mother (?) to Pike Co. Mo where I have
him marrying Rachel B. Downing. If you are checking again keep an eye out for him. I would truly appreciate it.

I am looking for information regarding Justin COBB. He lived in Eagle, Wyoming Co., NY in the 1840s.
His wife's name was Mary and her maiden name may have been KEENAN. They had a son, Thomas
on 10/4/1847.
I would like to exchange information with anyone else researching this family.

WARNING: Let this get your attention.
Early 1700 & 1800s, Old Pa. wagon roads due south cris-crossed through the
state of VA. from upper New England carrying thousands of migrants. Great
road split about present day Roanoke. One road continued down into TN.
toward GA. and other road due south into Rowan County, NC. toward SC. The
road from Roanoke to Rowan County was the most heavily traveled road in the
country. It was both a southerly route and a westward route from eastern NC
moving west. Below are links to many pictures and webpages that may give
you some history of where your kin traveled or lived.

Hi Ben;
Nice to hear from you; We have spent a long time researching this COBB
Family;
I have not paid much attention to the Nellie RUSH but guess it's time to
find her; Do you know if there exists ANY Family history such as a
scrapbook, Photo albums, bibles, military records just any old piece of
paper we may find clues to this family?
I am so close to Joseph COBB, I can feel him breathing down my neck;
I am on winter vacation in Florifda but will be going back to Chautauqua Co
in March, and as soon as the weather clears, off to Bradford McKean Co PA
where I think we may find his burial, lived near TUNA CREEK and then maybe
his line;
His wife 2nd wife ISABEL LESHERca 1814-15 died 1902 is buried Dewittville
NY, and HER Mother, was also ISABEL ,Unknown married probably to a GEORGE
LESHER; she died in Fentonville Chautauqua Co NY and I found her stone last
summer, born ca 1783 died March 1873 aged 89-9-29
She MAY be a HASKINS they surround her;
there is no other Lesher or COBB visible;
This is an old New England family, there were lots of COBB in Chautauqua Co
but we have not been able to connect Joseph b 1804 to any of them;
Dee
