Hello to all that read this list.
I have just joined this list and I am hoping that someone will be able
to help me trace my half brother.
Research into my family has uncovered a half brother by the name of
Edward Alan COBB and I am very much hoping that you will be able to
help me. Edward was born at St. James Hospital, Battersea, London on
28 OCT 1941. His mother is Maud Lillian COBB who was living at 11,
Redgrave Road, Putney, London at the time Edward was born.
I have documentation that also shows Maud living at 96, Chelverton
Road, Putney on 01 FEB 1943. The document was witnessed by A. Snell (a
housewife) who was living at 11, Redgrave Road, Putney which is the
address that Maud lived at in 1941.
Are you able to help me further?
Regards

I'm looking for information on Jim Cobb, married to a Barbara Black. They
had a daughter named Rachel b. 1869. Jim and Barbara were apparently born in
GA. I found a record of a Joseph Cobb and a B. A. Black married in Gilmer,
GA in 1862. Don't know if this is the same or not.
Rachel married 1st J. Murray and 2nd John H. Creekmore (from whom I'm
descended).

Hello Fellow Cobb Researchers especially BJ:
Just received, after driving everybody crazy with my questions, a death
certificate on my gggrandmother who was Palestine Cobb and married John
Wiley Lawson in Franklin County, Tennessee. I had been looking for her
father and mother in Tennessee. However, to my surprise, she was born
in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Her parents are listed as Jim Cobb and Sus
Derrin both born in Missouri. She always told the children of which my
Mother was one at that time, that she came to Tennessee from Missouri in
a covered wagon. However everybody thought she was teasing or
something. No one took it serious but she must have. She was born 6
Dec 1858 Poplar Bluff, Missouri and died 20 July 1936 Coffee County, Tn
and is buried at Maplewood Cemetery, Tullahoma (Coffee County), Tn..
Sure hope this will connect with one of you Missouri Cobbs and maybe
help you as it has helped me. Would like to contact anyone who thinks
they might know anything about this family. Will be glad to pass along
everything I know about her.
Also a 90 year old cousin of my Mothers told me her father was named
John Durham Cobb which must be wrong too since death certificate says
Jim. Maybe it was James Durham instead of John Durham.
Looking forward to hearing from you Missouri cousins.
