Re: [COATS] Coats Archive discontinued

Char,
I am one of those many-many folks who have followed your site what seems
forever. Even though I have not been able to make a smooth connection
directly to my family from the site, you have taken time to answer questions
from me about the Coats lines and research in general. And, I wish we had
all thought to make donations to help you keep going.
I want to thank you for:
Teaching me as I followed the discussions
Keeping me interested even when my time pulled me other places
Helping me make contact with a few others who are in my line
Providing interesting and colorful stories of pioneer families
Introducing me to research sites and opportunities that I would not have
known about
Allowing me to know the folks like Linda and Grandpa Joe and others -
through their postings
And with all of this, helped me be able to uncover more of my own history.
Thank you very much and I hope to be able to maintain some of that contact.
Jane

Subject: [COATS] Coats Archive discontinued
Hi Folks, I have decided to remove the Coats Archive from the
web...however, the info is still available on DVD at
http://www.lulu.com/content/2266629 or by http://www.coatsarchive.us
I named it Vol 2 because this is the current website after it was
moved the first time...and some of the duplicate copies of records in
SC I didn't get back up...I also missed getting the WVA info onto this
disk...but will email it to anyone who needs it....
I am however, preparing a Vol 1 which is just going to be all the
documents from SC which will include any that I missed in Vol 2...does
that make sense...I will also put the WVA documents on this disk as
well as ...I'm going to go through all the old files and see what I
missed getting up and add those to this disk as well...may take some
time, since I'm indexing the SC records in PDF format for easier
viewing...
You are indeed free to do with the records as you wish....:)
I will also let you know if I find any new info and will add Vol 3 as
necessary....
Remember our DNA project is housed at FTDNA.com under Coats so you can
view your DNA results there at any time...
Any questions please let me know....:)
