Abt. 1850 went from Miami Co., OH to Iowa Co., IA
Monnges Twp., Iowa Co., IA (they mis-spelled the name as COLE in one census;
and ZEGLAR in same census)

Hi All:
One final post about the SPILMAN index (John Jasper SPILMAN's book of
his family history......which gives names and dates for his and his wife's
families; including many collateral lines...). The book concerns mostly the
families of Allen County, Kentucky and Lawrence County, Missouri.
I created an index for the original section of the book
I created an index for the updated portion of the book
The indexes are available as attachment files and were created in EXCEL
Note: All of the indexes that were requested have been sent out. If you did
NOT receive one and want one, please let me know....and I will be glad to
send them out asap.
Got my laptop back...still encountering problems (think it's the hard drive
but they don't find anything wrong)....so used the main puter here.....sent
out 63 indexes in two e-mails.........they didn't send right so tried
again...looks like 3 times...but instead of sending them out...I got kicked
off of AOL for bulk mailing...sigh
Took about 30 mins on hold to get allowed back on......then sent them out and
it appears that almost all were delivered.
IF you didn't get yours......or haven't ordered them yet.......let me know.
God Bless,
Ellen FranKs

AMERICAN-AMERICAN
Hello All:
Just a line to let you know that I have finished sending out the index of the main part of the book written by John Jasper SPILMAN which is a history of several collateral families of his line.
Most of the families originated in VA, went to IN or KY and then on to IL, MO, OR....
Mr. SPILMAN included his wife's family lines also...the MOODY family
Other families include
BOUCHER BRITE CAGLE FULLERTON HELETT MANN MOODY
MORRIS PRUITT SCHOOLING WOODS WORMINGTON
Mr. SPILMAN gave names and dates only most often. Although he does not offer his sources, his information has proven quite accurate when researched. Therefore, I consider this a good source to at least tell me where/who to look for...smile
The original book is out of print but I do have a copy and am willing to snail mail them for the cost of my copying and postage.
However, there is no index in the book...this is what I have created and have saved to disk so that it can be sent as an e-mail attachment for those that want it... finally, an easy way to find which page those almost 2,000 people are on.....WOW...unbelievable
So, if you want the index, let me know and I'll send an attached file (in EXCEL format or in Quatro Pro). No problem.
If you already requested a copy you should have received it already. I just finished mailing out the last of the e-mails with attachments...including the ones that I resent to addresses with failure notices.
Let me know......good luck and most of all
God Bless,
Ellen FranKs
