Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Sorry about this email guys - I was inviting family to use this free service. It is pretty cool if, like me, you use several computers (work, personal laptop, personal desktop) and need to share files. Or, you can invite folks to share folders as a collaboration.
And I don't have any personal gain.
Anyway, I apologize again!
- Janet

We received a message in our Coates-L box that was from
jcoley64(a)aol.com. When I went to open it, my virus software sadi their
was a threat in it? Just thought I'd pass this along for the benefit
of others. Thanks, L. Coate
For those of you whom have a close match to another person at 67 points
of DNA, this new upgrade will enable you to know more closely how you
are related. I hope this finds everyone well. Enjoy. Linda

We are excited to announce the launch of our new Y-DNA111 test!
This test includes a panel of 111 Y chromosome Short Tandem Repeat (STR)
markers.* With 44 additional markers, Y-DNA111 is the highest resolution
Y-DNA test offered by any company in the world.
The Y-DNA111 test is recommended for customers who already have close
matches at the 67 marker level and are looking to tighten the
calculation for the time to Most Recent Common Ancestor (tMRCA).** Due
to the specialized nature of this test and in order to evaluate the
potential benefit of this type of upgrade, we ask that customers with
Y-DNA12, 25, or 37 results upgrade to 67 markers first before
considering the 111 marker test.
With that in mind, this new test is now available as an upgrade for
customers with existing Y-DNA67 results and also as a standalone test
for individuals looking to prove a close relationship on the direct
paternal line:
*Y Refine 67 to 111 (Upgrade)* $101
*Y-DNA111* $339

about this new test.
Thank you,

/*This figure is based on the typical number of allele values we see for
multi-copy markers. The number of allele values we observe and report
for these markers may vary.
**Please note, both test-takers must have the 111 marker test to be
compared at this level./
