Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
An updated webpage that adds several new group members to their related
families is now up at http://www.ancestrees.com/dna/family.html.
Please check to see if your kit number includes the links to family
lines, your webpage or email addresses. Let me know if you want any
corrections or additions. If you haven't yet listed the sources for
the information you wanted linked, it will give credibility to your
lineages. Particularly check to see if your email address is still
linked as several persons addresses were no longer valid. I for one
have found that family tradition from the time of the Coate Coppock
estate court case had a little validity. My Marmaduke is distantly
related to descendants of Mathias Coates (who is the supposed son of
Stephen Marmaduke).... DNA showed Stephen Marmaduke's is related but not
through my Marmaduke statistically speaking. So what have you found
out this year? I hope the update helps. Linda Coate, admin
P.S. It's a great time to increase one's points or order a test as they
are currently on sale. You can link to the sales through the above
webpage. :)
