I received it about the same time on Monday, it seem to load in the
background while I tried to delete it. I ran my Norton Anti Virus for
two hours and when complete nothing showed up and no trouble yet. It is
my understanding that Juno.com filters all the e mail traffic and
neutralizes viruses.

It appears that someone who is a member of Coates-L has a computer that is
infected with the Bugbear or similar virus. The virus is of the mass mailing
type that uses a local address book and the users own mail server to send a
message with the virus attached. According to the Rootsweb folks the only
connection with Coates-L is that the infected user has the list address, and
apparently other Coates/Coats researchers as well, in their address book.
Note that Coates-L does not allow attachments so the virus is not being
spread by the list.
The Bugbear virus infects computers running the Windows operating system and
an unpatched version of Internet Explorer 5.5, according to an advisory
posted by security company Symantec. A flaw in MIME (the multipurpose
Internet mail extensions) lets a malicious program attached to an e-mail
message execute when the text of the message appears in Outlook. Microsoft
patched the software problem almost 18 months ago, but some users apparently
have not updated their computers.
Information on this virus and removal tools can be found at
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.bugbear@mm.html
as well as many other sites on the web.

George Fox lived in the 1600's. His journal was passed down to one of my
ancestors, Bartholomew Coppock Jr.. He gives it to his son Bartholomew in
his will. That Bart is also my ancestor. It looks like it could have
been passed down to my Mary Coppock who was captured by indians and rescued
by Marmaduke Coate. It's their son Henry who is in the bible record
below. Maybe it was a package with George Fox's Journal, my ancestor's
bible, etc. that got donated by the family a bit later on. Lydia in this
bible was the great grandmother of President Hoover. They'd be the kind
of people who would know where to donate it. How fascinating.

JAMES WALDROP
Also sp. Waldroup, Waldrope, Waldrip. JAMES WALDROP was b. 2/8/1751 Virginia d. 12/3/1846 Fayette Co., Ga. m. in Pittsylvania Co., Va. 9/29/1788 Mary Morrison b. 7/14/1761 d. after 3/1850 Fayette Co., Ga. 3/4/1850 was the last payment made to her from husband's pension. .James Waldrop made his application 1828 Fayette Co., Ga., and was listed on the 1840 Pension List of Georgia, age 85, in the household of David Waldrop, Fayette Co. James Waldrop, the son of James Waldrop, LWT dtd 5/26/1772, pvd 7/23/1772 Pittsylvania Co., Va. bequeathing Jeremiah Ward land on Frying Pan Creek; land to wife, Sarah during her widowhood, then to his son,James Waldrop.
James Waldrop removed to Laurens Co., S. C. where he was found on the 1800 census with three daughters and three sons. After 1820 he removed to Fayette Co., Ga. where he made his application for pension in 1828. I searched the deed records in Fayette Co., finding none for James.
For an unknown reason, the estate of James Waldrop is not recorded in Fayette Co. Records, though that of John Waldrop and David Waldrop was found.
Without proper documents to link James Waldrop to his children, we have only to draw from the data which we do have. For one thing, it is apparent to me that James McBride, b. 1777 S. C. and his wife, Mary, b. 1778 S. C. was a kinsman. Also, that Malany b. 1800 who m. Eleanor Simpson b. 1791, was a daughter. Their son, Henry Waldrop Simpson was b. 1823 in Fayette Co. (1850 Census) m. Caziah b. 1825 Ga. Other children appear to be:
Page 298
DAVID WALDROP, fought in the Creek War of 1836, 53rd Regt., "Fayette Blues." His estate in Fayette Co. includes time period 1831 to 1839. The paper enclosed with Rev. pension papers, No. 13431, Court of Ordinary, sitting: William McBride, dated 1847, with the name of Sarah Waldrope written upon it, probably applies to an interest of David Waldrop (deed), and if this is the case, Sarah was David's wife.
JOHN WALDROP was b. ca 1790 d. 1836 Fayette Co., Ga. m. Polly H., his LWT dtd 1/19/1826, pvd 1/9/1836 Fayette Co., naming children: Mary Jane; Elizabeth; James. Wit: Martin Waldrop. Mrs. Mary Waldrop after death of her husband 12/13/1836 Berry Norton, in Fayette Co., Ga.
ELIHU N. WALDROP was b. 1799, listed on 1830 Monroe Co. and 1850 Sumter Co., Ga. Census, m. Ramsey b. 1802 S. C. In 1857 Elihu, in writing for status of James Waldrop's pension, referred to himself as "kinsman", stating that there was one son and four daughters alive. I found a deed of Elihu N. Waldrop of Monroe Co., Ga. to Edward Canter of Abbeville Co., S. C., 202-1/2 acres in 5th Dist., 3/22/1831, Fayette Deed Bk B, P. 510. Issue:
