Hi All,
Looking for any information on my g-grandmother, Rosella Coady of Halifax, NS and later Saint John, NB. She was my g-grandfather's (Capt. Angus Macdonald) first wife. Here's the news story about her death:
Saint John Daily Telegraph, 13 October, 1883:
A letter received here from Montevideo from Capt A B McDonald of ship "Nicosia" of Saint John containing the sad intelligence of the death of his wife, Rosella McDonald on 19th July last and she was buried at sea. The ship was on passage from Caldiff to Montevideo. The deceased had two children on board, the youngest being about 9 months old. Mrs McDonald was a native of Halifax Nova Scotia and a daughter of Mrs T Cody. She resided in Saint John for some years - Halifax Choncicle copy.
Any help appreciated!
Jim Condon
