Hi Listers:
As a new subscriber, this the Coady line I'm researching. Feel free to jump in with any additions or corrections as these rascals are pretty hard to track down.
Michael COADY, b. abt 1820 in Ireland (county unknown) m. Bridget BULGER, b. abt 1823 in Ireland (county unknown), d. 7 July 1903 in Taylorville, Christian Co, IL. They settled in Christian County, Illinois as farmers and are enumerated in the 1870 census. We do not know if they married before or after coming to America but their children were born in Illinois.
Children:
1. John Coady, b. abt 1854
2. Patrick Coady, b. abt 1856
3. James Coady b. abt 1859
4. Michael N. Coady, b. 1864, d. 1922 m. Ellen E WATERS b. 1866, d. 1926 (my husband's grandparents)
5. Martin C. Coady, b. abt. 1865, m. Ella Harlan Cook, b. 1862
6. Mary Ann Coady, b. 1865, d. 1912, m. Peter CASHEN, b. 1869, d. 1936
When Bridget died in 1903, her obituary gave the following: Michael was living in Springfield, IL; Martin was living in Iowa; James was living in St. Louis, Missouri; Patrick was living in Oklahoma and Mary Ann was living in Christian County Illinois. Since John was not named, we're assuming he predeceased his Mother.
Would love to hear from anyone who may connect to these names.
Carol Coady
