What I have on your family is up on worldconnect, http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/, in database "trurocoads".
It takes the family back as far as we can go. I dont have Matilda there but I think someone else told me about her - in fact I think I communicated with a cousin of yours a few years ago.

Peter Coad was born abt 1828 in Cornwall and he died 09 Sept 1861 Wallaroo South Australia. He married Rosevia Halls. They came to Australia on possibly the ship "MELBOURNE" during 1858.
Their children are: William Coad (my 2nd great grandfather) who was born abt 1855/56 and married Matilda Russell on 11 December 1876 at Wallaroo.
Elizabeth Coad born abt 1858 and married Thomas Rowe on 14 Oct 1878 at Wallaroo.
Mary Jane Coad born 26 September 1860 at Kooringa (now Burra) in Sout Australia. Mary Jane married John Bitmead on 26 June 1878 at Wallaroo Mines.
William Coad and Matilda Russell had three children, Eva Coad born 25 May 1877 at Wallaroo Mines (Kadina) married Albert Olive on 03 Oct 1896 at Moonta Mines;
Matilda (Tilly) Coad born 03 April 1879 at Kadina (my great grandmother) who married Charles Conrad Carlaw on 01 Sept 1900 at Broken Hill NSW;
John Coad born 02 January 1881 possibly Kadina. John married Mary Gwedoline Ita Crowe about 1905 in Broken Hill.
Is anyone researching this branch of the Coad family tree?
Any help will great greatly appreciated.

These are my cousins, descended from William Coade of Beechworth.
Blanche and Samuel are the traditional forenames in our family, going back to 1690 - and that is exactly what my cousin Russell Coade has called his children - he swears it is by chance.

Hi Alan, just checked my records they had more than one daughter. Beatrice and Edgar Lake had 5 children alive when Beatrice died they are mentioned in her funeral notice as John [died 1964], Rolf and Bret[full name Bretwald, married Bessie], Ethel [nicknamed Dot, married Waples] and Ruth. (Sydney Morning Herald, 30 April 1923). This fits with my great Aunts version of our family tree (in the square brackets I have added some of her other details). In tree and funeral notice Ruth is never referred to as Beatrice.
Hope this helps you
cheers Kate

Alan how great to get your message. Did Clive and Beatrice Schweinsberg have any children? I would dearly love to get in touch with them but keep coming up against a big brick wall. Beatrice was my grandmothers cousin, I have heard stories about them all together and would love to share them with her offspring.
I have just found another Schweinsbergs', am speaking to them tomorrow and will put you all in touch. Can you send an email address? These people are currently doing their family tree and you could probably help each other out. They are also related to Clive. My email is: katetier(a)tpg.com.au
thank you, if there is any information I might have that you would like please ask :-)
Kate
