I have been steadily updating the blog http://coadcoode.blogspot.com/. The most important item is a research program for DNA testing the Coads, showing that it will take over 40 tests to map the family out fully. At the moment we have five!
After a list of the lines to be tested, it reads "If you belong to one of the untested lines and genuinely want to know your origins, which original Coad family you belong to, and whether the paper trail is as it should be, I suggest you try to get a male Coad etc relative to take the test - and to pay for it if necessary, as I am doing for my own Coade relatives".
Other items I have loaded include
- My genealogy trip to Cornwall last year. People seem to like this one.
- Potted bios of famous Coads.
- An update of my current activities in August.
Cheers

I need to get copies of a number of early Coad wills from the Cornwall Record Office in order to clean up and verify the various trees I have placed online. There are a lot, about 100. If I get the CRO staff to do it they will charge me about US$400 which is rather more than I can afford at the moment.
Is anyone in or visiting Truro in a position to be able to digi-photograph some or all of the wills? I can give you a priorotised list.
