Hi Russ;
The Coad you have mentioned looks as lived in or close to same area the
Wilton's did in Cornwall.
I would have to see if I have old Emails with the Wilton/Coad in our line.
There are Wilton's in Seattle area. As the Virginia Mason Clinic and
Hospital we go to there have one on their books as a William A. Wilton, same as
our and my spouse.
There may be other's also but not many.
They may be descendants of the ones you have here??

The COAD/WILTON line that maxine talks about is not the ones related to Thomas Henry Coad. her Coad?Wilton connection and the Cornwall/Colorado connection are with my line. Maxine, you have been given this information numerous times by both myself and my distant Cousin Dale Moore who did indeed organise a Colorado/US reuinion for Coad descendants of our line as I did then in Northumberland ENG

Thanks that is most helpful Russ. I found your gedcom the other day, and I
would like to include this and an abbreviated version of some very
interesting family stories of yours that are included there in my own
Gedcom.
I see that you are still not convinced about your relative's story regarding
Thomas and John Pincombe/Coad, although we found a lot of corroborating
evidence and nothing to contradict it. One way to help sort this out would
be by participating in the Coad DNA study. I'll send you an invitation once
Edwin and I get the mailing list in order.

I havent gone that far forward yet, but I guess that must be Richard Henry
Coad, b Q3 1864 Gwennap or Redruth, copper miner, third of eight children of
Richard Henry and Ann Clymo, and oldest surviving. He was born 1863 but
apparently not registered till after his younger sister Ellen. He married
Ellen Jane Toms (b Q2 1860) in Q3 1885. Richard sr was from a
Perranarworthal family quite familiar to us here, and was a foundry worker
and blacksmith.
(To get that, first I looked up the 1891 census to get a place and
approximate date of birth, then I looked in my big list to get a fit, then I
checked it out on FreeBMD and the other census).
Here are five census entries for Richard Sr
1841 Census. Greenwith Common, Perranarworthal. Benjamin Coad (35, Copper
miner) and Mary (30) with Elizabeth (9) Richard (8) Eliza (5) Benjamin (2)
1851 Census. Greenwith Common, Perranarworthal. Benjamin Coad (45, Foundry
labourer) and Mary Ann (42, Dover, Kent, Charwoman) with Richard (18,
Foundry labourer) Eliza (14, Errand girl) Benjn (11, labourer) Joseph (7)
John (4). All Perran. (Note Perran not in Ancestry)
1861 census. Rd Coad (27, Perran, Smith (Black)) and Ann (29, Gwennap) with
Wm Jame (1)
1871 census. Lanner, Gwennap. Richard Coad (32, Foundry lab,
Perranarworthal) and Ann (39, Gwennap) with Richard (9) Ellen (7) Mary A (2)
Eliza J (1) all Gwennap.
1881 census. Pool, Illogan. Richard Coad (47, Gwennap, Iron foundry man) and
Ann (48, Do, Iron foundry wife) with Richard H (18, Redruth, Iron foundry
son) Ellen (17, Gwennap) Mary H (12, Do) Lilly (11, Do) William H (7)
1891 census. Dudnance Illogan. Richard Coad (64, Perranarworthal, Iron
foundry labourer) and Ann (65, Gwennap) with William J Coad (17, Do,
labourer) Eliza J Rhodda (21, Do) with gs William J Rhodda (1 1/2)
and for Richard jr
1891 Census. Poll Lane Redruth. Richard H Coad (29, Redruth, copper miner)
and Ellen J (28, Do) with Sarah M (4, Do) Ethel N (5 mo, Do)
\It took me a long while to sort out Richard Sr the foundry worker from his
cousin Richard the miner, who led a fairly eventful life, bringing back
wives from Durham and Exeter, and becoming a Temperance Lecturer later in
life.

More on Thomas Coad.
I didn't include an answer to your question in the last e-mail. His
occupation was miner. He worked the local mines around Idaho Springs,
Colorado.
Also, one more thing about Thomas: He may have been born Thomas Pincombe
and he may have been the brother of John Coad, who also may have been born
John Coad.
There is a reference to these two in the 1861 UK census in Redruth, living
with a Francis Body. The census says that John and Thomas were born in
Liskeard. I have found the birth information for a John and Thomas Pincombe,
that were also born in Liskeard. Their father, in the case of the Pincombes
were Richard Pincombe and their mother was Mary Ann Coad.
I am hoping by pumping out copious amounts of information on this "name"
issue, that some cousin/ researcher somewhere that sees this, has a piece of
information about the Coad/Pincombe connection that can shed light on this.

Dear folks,
All of you received a email spam with the subject line "casserole" in the

As I mentioned before, rootsweb.com recently change their email software. No
longer does it automatically remove spam sent to our list. It is now my
responsibility, as List-Administrator to remove such items.

It seems like making moneyy with Aquaopnics is as easy as shooting fish in a barrel…and now you can ride the wave with TQ WW!
Don’t delay – do your research on TQ WW and contact your brroker immeddiately!
The time to get in on this great fish story is now!
Talior Auqaponics Wroldwide, unlike many of its competitors, already successsfully operates a coommercial scale food production system.
The upside for Aquaponics is uncharted, but huge revenues are already
being derived from a TTailor Aquaponicss combined Fish Farming/Vegetable Farming venture in Australia. The research shows us that this is a sttock we want to acquire – and acquire a great deal of – before more news makes it across the Pacific.
Remember, T QWW is on trackk for inncreases of 250%, 400% or more, but not many people know about it yet. That’s why you need to do your research and make your p l a y today!
Any of the above statements with respect to the future predications or
goals and ev ents may be seen as only forward looking and nothing else.

I am researching the Coad names who lived at Redruth, Richard and wife Ellen died 1900 and had children Sarah, Ethel and John. Anyone researching this family? The children were living with relatives in 1901 census at Redruth.
I received the following request from my sister and have no real info on
this and would appreciate any help along these lines
I am trying to find out some information on the Coad's in Scottland. I am
very interested in the tartin plaids. Do you have any help on this matter.
I knew that you and Sheldon had done some work but didn't know if this had
been a part of the work or not.
Dennis Coad
Thank you. I would be interested in seeing it. Alexandra

Thank you for your response. I think it's actually Elizabeth RODMAN Smith.

Hello;
I was some time back in contact with a Coad from North Central part of USA that
had connection to Wilton's from Cornwall. Eng. One of them was in Colorado
maybe Trinidad a couple yr's, or last yr. for a reunion. I lost track of him.
There is a Coad connection to Wilton or a spouse but can't quite recollect at the
moment. I do have a book on the Wilton's of Cornwall and also a Cornwall Eng.
book.
Happy to do look ups.
There are still families related and descendants living in the Las Animas and
Pueblo, Co. area's.
I would like recontact with anyone related to the Wilton's in Sault St. Marie,
Canada, Michigan area's
and Colorado. some of the siblings of (John Wilton b 1850 Cornwall Eng, )
who went to Canada. I was also in contact with a Patrick Wilton from Canada ,
descend of one of the siblings of John. there. in the late 1800's . May
been abt 3 or more who went to Canada and John lost track of them. Their fa. was
William Wilton b 1826 in Cornwall Eng. William descend from a Prima
Wilton or Pima Wilton. of memory, here 1400's.

Dear Coad-Listers,
It is my pleasure to announce that Dr. Joe Flood of Australia has agree to
accept my offer to act as Assistant Moderator for the Coad-List.
Dr. Joe, comes to us with a broad range of experience and resources. He is
head of the "ONE NAME STUDY" for the COAD-COODE surname and their derivative
spellings. He is also acting head of the COAD-COODE Genetics Project, for
the study of DNA in Genealogy. I will let Dr. Joe tells us more about that
later.
Joe will handle the Australian, Cornwall and Devon queries, and I will
continue to help folks with their U.S. research.
At this time, I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and
everyone of you who has in the past contributed to the COAD-LIST, and hope
you will continue to do so in the future. I would especially like to thank
my COAD cousin, Dr. Nigel Coad in the U.K., who has been a world wide
contributor of COAD family information and without whose help I may have
never discovered my Cornish roots. And last, but not least my other cousin
from Canada, Keith Abel who has been a tremendous help and source of info,
as well as a good friend.
We hope in the coming year that new efforts will help bring us closer to our
ancestors from Cornwall and beyond.
Regards to all,
Ed Coad
