My grandfather was Samuel Boddy Sr. he had a sister Elizabeth Ann Boddy (mother Elizabeth Ann Father Francis Boddy) who died in a house fire. The family actually spent a lot of time in Colorado then on to Washington in the 1890's, They owned Boddy Brothers Nursery later became Hunts Point Greenhouses. Albert handled the sale of the greenhouses to the Yubukies. When WWII came about and the Japenesse were inturned the family took over the Greenhouses for the Yubukies and handed them back the keys after the interment was over.
I would love to speak to you more about the family. I know the Coad name is in the family and the Toy family as well.. email me at Caramiine(a)aol.com I live in Seattle and have often gone by the old family homestead area accross from the golf course and the new nursery that is out there.
Grandpa Francis and Elizabeth used to own all the land from 520 to the next corner.. There also used to be a Boddy Landing at the foot of 94th or 92nd where the ferry used to land.
