I have all the census information on John and Eliza that is possible. I
recently went to Salt Lake City to see what could be found in the LDS
Library. They were not in any of the UK census records. It is possible that
they were never married, but they did have a bunch of kids.

Have you checked in the census records - sometimes there's a clue to
parentage, where born and this may give you what you need to find their
marriage parish.
I can do some checking if you don't have access to censuses.

My name is Russell W. Coad and I have been searching for information on the
marriage of John Coad and Eliza Ann Boddy. I'm pretty sure that they were
married in Cornwall, but I have not been able to find any records, even when
I took a trip to the LDS library in Salt Lake City.
They immigrated to the US in about 1874 and lived for more than 20 years in
West Fairlee, Vermont.
I am also looking for information on their oldest daughter, Elizabeth who
lived in the New York area and who was married twice. First married name was
Chapman and the second was Diesina or something close to that.
Thanks,
Russ Coad

John Horner Cude ----What do we know about him ? We have birth dates from 1774 to 1776 in Randolph Co. NC. We have a marriage date of 1788 to Nancy Lomax Gordon, born 1774. There were a lot of Gordons in NC at the time, so it is hard to say which family she came from. If we accept these dates he would have been 14 years old when he was married, if we accept the earlier date. Their first child listed was Homer or Horner Cude 1793 or 1794. If we accept the 1774 date for John and the 1794 date for Homer, this would have him 20 years old at the time. The marriage date was probably more like 1793 or 1792. These dates fit the pattern of the time. We have a John Horner Cude who was suppose to be born in 1795 listed, but him and Homer appear to be the same person. Homer and Temperance Lomax are listed as man and wife in the 1850 census. !
-----There is no record of a John Cude born in 1795 (this is a composite of Homer and his brother John 1803) in any of the census. This is the record of children that are listed in census. of 1820. John Coode, ( John Horner Cude ) in the over 45 years old roll, if we accept the 1774 birth date he would have been 46 years old, The wife is listed as under 45 years old, so this would be Catherine Horner. He is listed with one male under 10 years old. This would be James 1812. Three males 10 to under16, this would be John 1803, William 1804 and Timothy 1808 ,these dates do not match the under 16 mark, but this is what I have to work with. There are no boys listed over 16 years old. In 1820 we have Hoover Coo!
