Bill,
If you haven't done so already, ordering the microfilmed church records from your local LDS Family History Center is one of best ways to confirm your research.
Many times they list witnesses and the occupation of the groom and/or father of the bride.

I don't have an answer to this email - but it brings up a question for me
and the Robert COAD b 1701 family tree --
She references the following:
" John Coad b abt 1685 d 1742 + Honour Coad "
does anyone have any information on them (Parents or siblings)? Robert COAD
born 1701 married Avis and one of their three children was named Honor. She
was born in 1728 in Ermington and the name Honor was passed down to her
children. Knowing that there were naming patterns, I wonder if there is a
tie here for a couple of COAD trees. Does anyone have any other details
?????
Just an idea --
Regards,
Beth

Hello cousins,
I'm looking for more info re my 5 g grandmother Sarah Coade who married 17 Sep 1755 at Perranzabuloe, Cornwall to Perran Cooke christened 12 Mar 1731.
The following info is from IGI familysearch.org and rootsweb worldconnect.
I would like to know, please, if you can confirm that the Sarah Coade who married Perran Cooke in 1755 is the same as the
Sara(h) Coad christened 26 DEC 1736 Parranarworthal, Cornwall
daughter of
William Coad + married 1 JAN 1731 Parranarworthal, Cornwall, Tamasan/Tamson Cotey
and then also whether this William Coad is the same as the one born about 1718 Perranarworthal Cornwall
son of
John Coad b abt 1685 d 1742 + Honour Coad
and any other info about what they did for a living - possibly tin miners which some of them were - and other ancestors and descendants, particularly Perran Cook, Trenery, Cotey, Menadue, Penna, Davis etc. I've got more about some of these if anyone would like to see it - except that I'm getting most of it from IGI and rootsweb so you've probably seen it all already. Thanks and happy hunting, regards, Bill Wood

i have no idea if we are relatives but HELLO from Cornwall UK.
GOOD LUCK with your search
regards
DEREK COAD
It's St Ives, all the families are from there or therebouts and the Coades I
am seeking info on are in St Ives Parish registers. Whether they have a St
Ive connection as well remains to be seen
Mike
PS I have been down the St Ive / St Ives road before so I hear what you are
saying.
Thanks for the email. There are some COADES around the area but the
difficulty is making a connection. I haven't been down to Cornwall for a
long time and searching for info from the 1600s needs to be done "on site"
as it were. The information is out there - it's just finding it that's the
problem !
Mike
