Wacfrog,
I also forgot to mention that I grew up in Drexel Hill also and later moved to the other end of Upper Darby just off Long Lane--Fernwood Cemetery was practically my backyard.

Hi Wacfrog,
I forgot to mention that as far as I know there is not a direct connection to Geo the Signer. There is a possibility that we might descend from his Uncle. I have more information on this is you want to contact me thru my website as listed in previous email.

Hello Mr. Alexander,
If you will kindly email me at my private email address RandyRedman(a)logarpc.com I will be happy to not only provide you with the citation but also the very essence itself. It was my belief that I had already sent this information to you. However, I may be mistaken. None-the-less I will be happy to furnish it to you and your esteemed organization. It is a very important discovery and one that you need to have with the other official records of Mr. George Clymer (The Signer of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States) I wish to discuss this finding with you and would like to provide you with all the information regarding it. Therefore, I invite you to call me this evening at my home 856-782-4950 (I reside on the east coast) and fee to call me until 11pm. I thank you for your time and consideration.
Most Sincerely and Respectfully,
Randall R M Redman

The Philppine Islands is a mistake that was made years ago--the place is clearly abbreviated Phila. on the census and somehow they transcribed that as Philippines. I have been asking for years to have it corrected, but nothing has been done so far.

Hi Wacfrog,
We might be 3rd cousins, or 3rd, once removed, depending how many generations down you are. I think our family makes up at least a quarter of all burials in Fernwood!!!
I also descend from Robert M. Clymer and Jane Leabourne, through their oldest daughter, Elizabeth. Wm was born in Philadelphia, and Caroline was born in England. As far as I have a record, Louisa was also born in Phila, not in Delaware County (Drexel Hill>Upper Darby are in Del. Cty.)
I have tons of research on this family, I have been researching them for 30 years.
If you would like to contact me off of this site, I will gladly exchange information with you, you can contact me through my website: genealogytrails.com/penn/philadelphia/index.html You will see links that say "send to me" or something of the sort. There are several links for emails on the site.
I look forward to hearing from you, Kim

Randall, please provide the citation to "matter of public record that George Clymer" had at least one other child. This is news to me and as the guardian of the Signers genealogies, DSDI does want to get it correct. I am more than willing to consider new evidence.

Dear Mr. Alexander,
It is now a matter of public record that Mr. George Clymer (The Signer) had at least on other child. This, child and its possible offspring have yet to be accounted for. Therefore, the possibility does exist that Solomon who is not a Clemmer/ Clymer could be a possible relation to Mr. George Clymer (Signer of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. I have and will continue to research Solomon and his parental linage to determine whether or not his indeed related to "The Signer" and will advise you of my findings upon completion of my research. I thank you your time and consideration but most importantly for your continued support.
Most Sincerely and Respectfully,
Randall R M Redman

Randall, there is a lot of confusion regarding the Clymer surname. In the revolutionary period, in PA, there were several variants of the name, the most notable being Klemmer. Over time, this migrated to Clymer. The fact that you are of Solomon Clymer of Germantown leads me to suspect that you may be of the German Klemmer line. If so, you are not related to the signer. We have no record of any of the names you mention as descendants of the Signer.
