Lucas, Nice to see your name again. I see many people are equating the Clemmer family name (of York, PA and Preble Cty, Ohio) to the Clymer family, of the Declaration signer. It just is not so. I have excellent data tracing the Clemmers (Klemmers, and Klimmers) back to Switzerland in the 1500s. I have also found an article that states it is not true. I have photos of Eliza Jane Clemmer Mills' tombstone that spells her first marriage name as Clemmer. Nowhere did I see the name spelled Clymer. I do have an ancestor born in 1545 who was named Klymer. His son was also a Klymer, but then the name changed to Klimmer, Klemmer, and finally Clemmer. Let me know if you would like to see some of this material.
