Phebe Clymers Will
The last Will and testament of Phebe Clymer of Miami Co.
I, Phebe Clymer, of Miami County in the State of Indiana, do make and Publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me made at any time heretofore made.
First - I direct that my body be decently intered, [sic] and that my furnal [sic] be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life: and as to such worldly estate as it has please God to entrust me with, I dispose of the same in the following manner to wit - I direct first that all my just debts and furnal [sic] expenses be paid as soon after my decease as possible, out of the first moneys that shall come to the hands of my executors from any portion of my estate real or personal-- I do desire that all my property both real and personal be sold by my executor as soon after my decease as possible without sacrificing it. And for the purpose of effecting this my intention, I hereby vest my executor with full power and authority to sell, dispose of and convey by Deed my Real Estate in fee simple or otherwise in as full and ample a manner in every respect as I myself could do if liveing. [sic] It is my will and I hereby direct that the Proceeds of !
my estate both real and personal be distributed by my executors among my children & heirs respectively in the following manner to wit -
1st I will and bequeath to my beloved son John Clymer one dollar which with what he has heretofore received will be his share of my estate.
2nd Second I will and bequeath to my beloved son Levi Clymer the sum of one dollar, which with what he has heretofore received will be his just proportion of my paid estate.
3rd Third-I will and bequeath to the children of my beloved son Joseph Clymer (who is now deceased) one dollar, which together with what the said Joseph received in his life time and what said children have received since his death, will be their just and full share of my estate.
4th Fourth-- I will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Ivy Bunnell and her heirs three hundred dollars which sum I direct my executors to pay over into the hands of John Brower for her and their use, unless previous that time the said Ivy Bunnell and John Bunnell her husband shall have executed a deed to the said John Brower conveying their interest in a certain tract of land late the estate of Christian Clymer now deceased, to said Brower - but in case said deed shall have been executed as aforesaid, then said sum so bequeathed shall be paid over to said Ivy or her heirs.
5th Fifth I will and bequeath to my dearly beloved daughter Ara Graham and to her heirs one hundred dollars which with what she has heretofore received will make her portion of my estate

equal to what the others received.
6th Sixth-I will and bequeath to my dearly beloved daughter Nancy Williamson and to her heirs one hundred dollars, which with what she has already received will make her portion equal to the others.
7th Seventh - I will and bequeath to my dearly beloved daughter Cintha Clendening and to her heirs three hundred dollars
8th Eighth-I will and bequeath to my dearly beloved daughter Phebe Edwards one hundred and forty dollars which with what she had received will make her portion three hundred dollars.
9th Ninth-I will and bequeath to my dearly beloved daughter Olinda Bills and to her heirs three hundred dollars.
Lastly I will and direct that the residue of my estate be divided equally among my three daughters. Cintha Clendening, Olinda Bills and Phebe Edwards, share and share alike.
And I hereby make and ordain my well beloved son Levi Clymer executor of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I, Phebe Clymer the testatrix have herein to set my hand and seal this twenty-fifth day of December AD 1849.

Be it remembered that on this the 28th day of October 1856 personally appeared before the undersigned clerk of the court of Common Pleas of Miami County Ruben K. Charles and John Brower whose names appear to the last will and testament of Phebe Clymer as subscribing witnesses, and being duly sworn upon their oath say that they were present when said Will was executed, that said testator was of sound mind and disposing memory, that the signed the same, and declared the same as and for her last will and testament being fully aware of its contents, and that they the said deponents, signed the same as subscribing witnesses there to in the presence and at the request of said testatrix, and in the presence of each other; and further that said will was executed on the 25th day of December A.D. 1849

I, Alexander Blake clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of Miami County, certify that the within and foregoing last will and testament of Phebe Clymer late of Miami County deceased has been duly admitted to probate, that its due execution was this day proven by Ruben K. Charles and John Brower, whose proofs together with such will has been duly recorded on pages 44, 45 and 46 of the record of will in our office.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of said court this 28th day of October 1856
