DEAD.
One if Monessen’s Leading Citizens Passes Away
W. B. Clymer, a prominent contractor of this city, who has been battling
for life for the past three weeks with a severe attack of typhoid fever,
succumbed to the ravages of that dread disease at his home on Reed avenue, this
morning at 12:30 o’clock. Mr. Clymer was in the 33rd year of his age and leaves a
wife and four children, besides his mother, brother and four children to mourn
their loss.
He was born and raised in Garardford, Green county, where he spent most of
his life until coming to this city three years ago.
On October 21, 1891 he was happily united in marriage to Miss Gerty Mauer,
to which union there was added four children Russell, aged 10 years past;
Raymond, aged 8; Blanche, aged 5 and Alma, aged 2 years. Mr. Clymer had a host of
friends and was well and favorably known. He was prominent in lodge circles
and a member of Monessen lodge, Royal Arcanuin, in which he carried insurance.
The sympathy of the community is extended to the family and Mrs. Clymer in
their sad bereavement.
Funeral services will take place from his late home at 11 o’clock a. m.,
Thursday, interment at Belle Vernon cemetery.

Formerly of Kalamazoo
Died Friday, July 4, 2003, in Bloomsburg. Mr. Parsons was born in Sugar Creek
Township, Ohio, June 12, 1913, the son of William & Bertha (Anderson) Parsons.
He
was a salesman for Meadow Gold Dairy in Lima, Ohio for 22 years, then for the
Superior Coach Company of Lima, Ohio for 21 years. He moved to Kalamazoo in
1958
and after retirement in 1975, continued assisting many area funeral directors.
Virgil
was a life-member of the Michigan Funeral Directors' Association Salesmen's
Club.
On October 29, 1936, he married Dorothy Mae Sandy, who preceded him in death on
February 1, 2001. Surviving are his son, Dr. James E. Parsons of Bloomsburg,
Pennsylvania; his brother, William E. Parsons, Jr. of Columbus Grove, Ohio; two
sisters, M. Pauline Clymer of Pandora, Ohio and Donna J. (Kenneth) Peters of
Tulsa,
Oklahoma; a brother-in-law, Howard W. Sandy; two sisters-in-law, Edith E.
Ringer and
Irene E. Wingate; many nephews and nieces. Friends will be received at the
funeral
home Thursday!
evening, July 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. Additional visitation and funeral services
will be held
at the Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, Ohio with interment in West
Side Cemetery, Cairo, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to The
Microbiology

Billy Ray Clemmer (May 31, 20030 Billy Ray Clemmer of Tellico Plains,
passed away Saturday, May 31. He was 60. Preceded in death by:
father, Glee Clemmer; and brother, Johnny Wilson. Survivors include:
wife-Wanda Clemmer of Tellico Plains; Daughter-Carrie Watson of
Etowah; Sons-Billy Clemmer II of Maryville; and Bobby Clemmer of
Nashville; Mother-Lillian Clemmer Sitzler of Tellico Plains; Sister-Jane
Cook of Tellico Plains; Brothers-J.D. Clemmer and David Clemmer of
Tellico Plains; Four grandchildren; Four step-grandchildren; Nine step-
grandchildren; Five step-great-grandchildren; Several nieces and
nephews. Funeral services were 8:30p.m., Sunday, June 1, at Myers
Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Finley Baird officiating. Arrangements by
Myers Funeral Home, Tellico Plains.
