The name Clyde is not a sept of any clan. It refers to one who lived along the Clyde river and occassionally along the Furth of Clyde in Scotland. My branch were originally Hamiltons.

Sherman Clyde is buried in the "old" part of Oak Lawn Cemetery in West Plains, Missouri, Howell County. I have taken a photo of his and Maria's headstone. He will have a flag on his grave this year, compliments of the Boy Scouts. If you would like a picture, contact me direct at vagentry(a)hotmail.com.
