She married Archibald Wiseman, my grandmother's grandfather, in Newburgh NY in December 1838 and in 1842, became the mother of Elizabeth Wiseman, my grandmother's mother. (Elizabeth married John McNeal Jr in Newburgh in 1863, and in 1865, became the mother of my grandmother, Margaret Dunlap McNeal. In turn, Margaret married Samuel Hugh Wilson [his second marriage] in the Cameron home in Newburgh in 1898. In 1901, their son Robert John Wilson, my father was born in Brooklyn NY.)
Susan became a widow in 1853, with the death at sea of Archibald. She remarried, in 1860 to James McCord, a widowered leather dresser. Susan and James were censused in 1880 in the home of her son, David, and his daughter, who had married in 1869. That's the last record I have of Susan. Seeking info on where she is interred, presumably in the Newburgh area, and presumably with McCord. Her father may have been a David Clyde (1781-1847), who is interred at the Old Town burying Ground in Newburgh. She is my connection to the Clydes.

There is no Clyde sept. The name "Clyde" refers to those ancesters that lived along the Clyde River or Furth of Clyde in Scotland. My ancesters came from south east of Glasgow, so I can wear the Strathclyde District tarten.
