I've managed to trace a branch of my family to a Joseph Scrivens who
was born in Winstone, Gloucestershire, England in 1800/01.
Unfortunately there was another Joseph Scrivens born at the same time
and in the same village (from entries in the 1851 & 1861 censuses).
I have managed to find the christening of one, son of Samuel Scrivens
and Patience Clutterbuck, but not a second one.
My Joseph married Amy Warpman and their children included Elizabeth
Scrivens who married Henry Whiteman in 1851. The other Joseph married
a lass called Sarah.
Does anyone out there have any confirmation as to whether I can claim
Patience Clutterbuck as 'mine' or not?
Many thanks,
