Does anyone know what the middle name is of Rachel DENMAN's father, William DENMAN, or any other information for that matter? I have several Williams in my Denman research and would like to know if this is one of them.
Thanks much in advance,
Anne M Denman

Hi Doug,
Might that man be Casper Ean Kloder/Klader/Klodder/Clutter?
(Casper Ean is my 6th Great Grandfather) my family added the (s), it started with Wayne Clutter(s), my grandfathers father. My grandfather is Lawrence Edward Clutters b. 12/31/1919 Ironton, Lawrence Co., OH d. 02/16/1996 Las Vegas, Clark Co., NV; md. Zella LEAVITT
To this day the descendants of Wayne Clutters and Irene Cochran still use the (S).
Now that you have a little of my history, my sourse on the following info is from Bill Hampshire on the genforum at genealogy.com
This is the story as I have heard it.
CASPER ARRIVES IN AMERICA
Casper Ean Clutter is thought to have started the Clutter bloodline in America. Casper was born in the German village of Birkenau in the year 1693. There in his home village, he was confirmed in the church at the age of fourteen in the year 1707. Many Palatines decided to escape en masse from the religious persecution, heavy taxation and the ravaging invasion of their Homeland by Frances'King Louis XIV. By October 1709, Casper and his family, along with 10,000 other Palatine immigrants, traveled down the Rhine River to Rotterdam Holland, then across to London England, where they were interred in either of three refugee camps, and enumerated there. Shortly thereafter they began their arduous journey to their new homeland. The ocean voyages were harsh, unsanitary, dangerous and in many cases even deadly. Casper arrived on these shores in New York in 1710, with his mother and siblings. It is believed that his father, Johan Paulus, died while enroute, as there is no further reco!
rd of him. Casper settled in Morris County, New Jersey for awhile and took Jannetje Van Etten, a Dutch girl, for his bride about 1720. There, in Morris County, they began their lifes journey and our new American heritage.
Caspers grandfather was named Hans Jacob, and was born about 1647, of the same village Birkenau. The father of Casper was named Johan Paulus (John Paul) and he was born about 1673, also of the same German village. Casper arrived in New York about 1710, with his mother Susanna (born about 1673), and it is believed with several younger siblings. By 1715, he was settled in Morris County, New Jersey, and was serving in the Militia. There, it appears that he and Jannetje started their large family and began the first generation of American-born Clutters.
