According to the marriage application of Stuart, his parents were John and Jane Clutter. I cannot find much on them either. I believe that Stuart had a sister, Mary Ann. The reason being the family remembers Wallace and also Isaac as being great uncles. Their grandmother was Mary Ann Clutter who married a Tharp.
Would appreciate any help someone could give on this family.

In an interview with oldest family member, he told me that WALLACE and ISAAC CLUTTER in Greenbrier and Pocahontas Counties, West Virginia were cousins to my husbands gg grandmother, MARY ANN CLUTTER, born 5 October 1826, Where?
I believe that their father, Stuart was the brother of our Mary Ann. She married a Tharp and by 1860 were living in Braxton County, West Virginia. They later moved to Greenbrier and Pocahontas Counties.
I am hoping that someone out there can help me with my mystery. Thanks.

My own descent is through Samuel CLUTTER and Rachel DENMAN's son John CLUTTER (1804-1883) who married Rachel MARLIN (1818-1909), as a second wife. She was the daughter of James MARLING and Nancy WIRT (also buried at Owl Creek Cemetery). John and Rachel had, among many others, son Walden Dallas CLUTTER, who married Elizabeth Ann MITCHELL, daughter of David Gibson MITCHELL and Elizabeth BELL. Walden and Lib had a daughter Adda Bell CLUTTER who married William Vallandigham HAMPSHIRE. These were my great-granparents.
Nice to hear from a cousin. Feel free to contact me directly. I am positive the Licking County Genealogical Society still has those family group sheets.

What is your line after Samuel. We go through William And Eda McKnow. Do you know if they still have those family group sheets?
