Thank You so very Much, Bill. After hours upon hours , searching for Birkenau on the web,( I kept getting results of Birkenau the Concentration camp in Poland)I still didnt have any luck finding Birkenau exactly named on a map.The closest result is where Weinheim is located. Then I tried another desperate measure..and went to a site that gives driving directions.I entered from Heidelberg to Birkenau...and it came up with a bit of a map(Still no name..just a red star). It states that it is 19.2 miles North of Heidelberg. On the governors subsistance list...I must have an odd one because it only names Susanna and Caspar and 4 children under 10 years of age.The children are not individually named.Could you tell me where to get one that does specifically name Caspars siblings? Also, on the same list I have, there is a Henrich Klotter spelled the same exact way as Susanna and Caspars last name! These are the only 2 families with a surname spelled that way in the West Camp. This Henric!
h Klotter also had a wife and two young children.Do you think that Johann Paulus may have set out with a brother also? If this fellows children were male...that could throw another monkey wrench in the works...besides Caspars younger brother Johannes.Besides, this Henrich could have went on to father many more children also.So there could (possibly) be several "Clutter" lines besides Ol' Caspar. Also, could you tell me which one of the London refugee camps the Clutters were enumerated in? Thanks a Million! Deb
