State Street Clutes.. Stephen PH Clute and wife Esther Rebecca Myers had: Nicholas (1873) married Anna Vernon, had Elbert, no marriage, no children.
Anna Lillian, (1876-1908) unmarried
Stephen Elbert ( 1880) married Alma Wilday, no children that survived
Etta Bertha (1883) married Thomas Hunter, no children survived.
Charles Fred (1886) married Nellie Gilson, had Stephen PH, Charles F. Robert A., Nellie Mae, and Esther Rebecca. All had children, all the children have had children.
Edward Irving (1890) married Myrtle Stoddard, had Howard. He married Mary, had on stillborn child.
This family lived at 1479-81 State St. The house has been moved from there, but is still somewhere close by.
Ed and Myrtle had the nursery. This part of the family is probably buried in Niskayuna, since this is where they went to church. Stephen PH and most of the rest of the Schenectady family are buried in Vale.
I do have some pictures of Aunt Myrtle when she and Ed were young and then again alone of her when she was older.

Since there were so many Clutes in the Schenectady area Do you have any of the family names so that we can see if any of them match? I am being contacted by many people and not all have accurate info on the family. I would hate to have the info end up with the someone just fishing for stuff....
Also I don't own the pictures. They are legally my son's but I thought I would see if I could find a legitimate Clute relative to give them to or offer them to if he wants to part with them. They will not end up in the trash.

Hi, Some of my Clutes were in Niskayuna but our branch of the Clute descendants have been out of touch with NY Clutes since 1912 when my Great-Great Grandfather died so I'm not sure how close the relationship is to these Clutes! Should no one else be interested, I would be happy to "take custody" of the Clute items found in your son's barn. We are retiring back to New York in about two months and will have plenty of room. Please contact me rather than tossing the items, I will happily pay for any shipping, postage and inconvenience.
Thanks,
Diana L. Mackey

My son purchased a Clute home on Lisha Kill Road in Niskayuna. The husband had a geranium farm there. He died in the 60's and his wife and a cousin lived there until about 10 years ago. There is some Clute family history items that were up in an old barn. Any of you related to those folks?
